Isn’t seen by Alexa - instructions below
I have two other smart plugs and Alexa identified them immediately when I plugged them in. I can’t figure out how to get out that Alexa to see this plug.I’ve since reached out to customer service and I got the instructions, which I’ve listed below:Open the Alexa App and navigate to Skills (More > Skills & Games)Use the search function (in the top right corner) and enter "Emporia Energy"Select the Emporia Energy Skill and select Enable to Use (sign in with your Emporia Energy account email & password and once it's successfully linked return to the Alexa app screen)Select Discover Devices so Alexa can find your Smart PlugsTo see you Smart Plugs, select Devices (on the bottom)Select PlugsYour Emporia Smart Plugs will now appear on the Plugs list and you can tell Alexa to turn your plugs on or off

So good I have 16+ of them !!!
I have 16+ of these in addition of my Emporia Vue 2 installed in my main breaker box. I use these where I want:1) wireless on/off control of heavy-duty appliances or devices (it handles large Air Conditioners and smaller electric heaters just fine, though large electric heaters on full blast during the winter tend to trigger it to shut off; though it rebounds and comes back on shortly thereafter);2) it integrates very well with Alexa. I have fewer issues with these plugs integrating with Alexa than any other devices and if you change the name of the plug in your Emporia App, the newer version of Alexa (always learning :) automatically picks up the change.3) I use it in conjunction with my Vue 2 when I have a device or circuit that I want to measure real-time power usage with wireless monitoring AND a permanent record to review at any time (either phone App or Cloud!) I especially like the fact that the app is SMART enough so that you can place it wherever in the hierarchy you want, i.e. you can use it to monitor a completely separate circuit from the Vue2 in my breaker box, OR I can place it "nested under" on the of the already monitored circuits, thereby not causing the App to accidentally "double up" the calculations, but instead knows to include it in the already monitored circuit draw.In other words, it really is a "smart" device.I have already bought at least 4x "4-packs" of these plugs and have them connected to every air conditioner in the house. Therefore even if it's an old clunker and not some newer "smart appliance," I can still turn it on/off either via voice command using Alexa and/or turn on my A/C before getting home !!!Definitely worth the money !!!

Detailed readout of the plugged unit's consumption
I like the pass-through plug and how easily it quantifies the consumption of the product plugged into it. Gives hourly and daily readouts so you know what time of day the product is consuming more.

Great Energy Monitor and Smart Switch
I purchased these to get a clear idea of consumption on a few appliances. They did not disappoint with 1200W continuous load ability and the graphing by Time Of Day is wonderful to have. Not much more expensive than a smart switch but you get so much more. I wish they had a 220v version for larger appliances but then they have their breaker panel monitor option as well.I have been looking into solar, so getting my actual use statistics is key to setting up a successful system. BE VERY WARY of a utility that will switch you over to TOD billing once you go SOLAR as this can easily gobble up any savings. These let you map your energy footprint and develop a TOD view of actual normal use patterns, that's critical to knowing if you can produce/store enough to get by day to day. These help locate the unknown energy hogs and their duration.I use a dehumidifier to make HVAC more comfortable and allow higher temps without feeling discomfort. Really works but how much energy am I using to run my A/C less on hot and humid days? Now I can tell and weigh that against running the A/C more or less often versus the dehumidifier.Only negative is in one application for a garden pump in a shed, the WiFi was too far to be reliable in a few spots, I hope to expand my router range to resolve this issue soon. That's my only issue.

Works as expected
Great to be able to turn on or off my electric blanket via Alexa, as well as my air purifier and monitor the usage of my garage refrigerator. I bought eight of another brand because of the price. But overall you guys really should use these things.

Occasionally disconnects from WiFi
It might be due to the wifi name being the same for 5Ghz and 2.5Ghz.

Great iphone App and web interface, plugs seems reliable so far.
I love these smart plugs, they are easy to configure, and the iphone app and the web interface for control and power monitoring is great, great integration with Vue power monitor. I can even set up a notifications when certain thing happens like when power suddenly gets drawn from a plug, or device no longer draws power, etc. The only complains I have is that this plug cannot draw 15 amps continuously (only 1 hour per day), and that I wish it's compatible with homekit.

Works great with the Emporia system
First some issues:I have An Eero Pro 6 Wifi and pairing the first 2 of these was a nightmare. Had to go through several tries using the automatic and manual settings, then tried disabling the 5GHz Wifi network and after several attempts, it finally worked. When I setup the next 2, I started by disabling the 5GHz Wifi network and they both worked on the first try. So keep this in mind when setting them up.That said, once setup they will sometimes disconnect from the Wifi network which is also not ideal. On the Emporia app, it is possible to change the device types for devices that are in the panel (called circuit type), but not for those plugs which is unfortunate, but certainly not a show stopper.I use Hubitat for my home automation and it is not currently possible to link the two which is also unfortunate. I would love to be able to automate my home based on certain power readings, and also have the ability to control the plugs along with the rest of my home automation devices.I would like to have the option to set these up to only monitor and not turn off, since I use these on some devices that I need to remain on all the time. As a workaround, I have setup timers to turn them on often during the day, just in case…What I like:The app is really nice and easy to use. It guides the user well through the setup, and the devices integrate very well with the main panel monitoring. It makes it easy to see the instant/by minute/hour/day/week/month/year power usage. The scheduling is pretty good. It is easy to use and can be linked with rate changes or solar production.

The power monitoring is what makes these stand-out smart plugs
I use Emporia for whole-house power monitoring, but these smart plugs let me get much finer-grained information on power use. I'm using them to automate my chicken coop, and I can tell you exactly how much power we're using to keep our chickens.

Good Quality/Price
I was a Leviton smart plug user until I found those at a much more interesting price. I had to purchase several smart plugs so I'd give them a try as I was already an Emporia user for an other product. I gve a 4 out of 5 for ease of installation because I had an issue with each one. But after unplugging, replugging, it always works out with hotspot mode.I gave a 3 out of 5 for Timer use because of an inability of the app to automatically start a timer when it is switched on (you litterally have to "start a timer" in the app). With the Leviton app, you can set a timer when a plug is switched on (whenever or however it switched on (through the app, with google, manually, with a schedule..)). For example, I wanted the plug to turn off after 30 mins whenever I would turn it on.I managed to do it through the Google home app but I have to switch on the plug with the voice to get the timer started. But overall, very nice product.

Impressed so far!
Easy setup and great functionality!I live off grid on solar and was looking for an easy way to track my high demand loads over time in order to help plan an upgrade of my solar array. Setting up each switch was a breeze and took only a few minutes as each switch updated their firmware before coming online. App is intuitive and easy to use. Data is graphed in realtime on a variety of selectable time intervals. One of the best feature is setting up schedules for each switch which are retained in the individual switch memory even when there is no wifi. I setup my freezers and fridge to shut off overnight to conserve power when the sun isn't shining and turn on at 9am.My other concern was data logging when wifi was turned off. I shut off my starlink internet overnight and when I'm not at my house but each switch continues to track and log it's power usage without wifi. Minute data is retained for 7 days and hourly data is retained indefinitely.Overall a great product so far!
