mounted on a Mosin 91-30
The mount came and is pretty much exaclty what you'd expect. Unfortunately, it took quite a but longer to arrive- contacted the seller AFTER projected arrival date- hadn't left the warehouse. Disappointing. The sent it out shortly thereafter- got back to me within a day after I emailed them alerting them to the fact it'd been 2 weeks and no shipment and I had an order confirmation.now, the product. Just like others have stated, I used a 1/8th punch and tapped out the 2 rear sight mounting pins (not soldered on my '42 Izhevsk)... tap tap- and they're out; remove the wooden barrel cover forward of that and tap the elevation mount forward to reveal the 3/8 dovetail mount on the top. :-)You can then mount this scope mount there. The ONLY problem is the fact that this mount is longer than the dovetail which makes the leading edge prevent the wood from sliding back into it's propper place. 2 Choices at this point- leave it slightly forward (about 1/2") or cut into the little metal band at the rear of the wooden upper slide piece. I REALLY was hoping to avoid any modifications. I found online a place that sells these little parts for next to nothing. I'll buy one and mod THAT one so this can be original. I'll use my "new" chinese type 53 to put into the forthcoming Mosin Archangel stock... meanwhile, this one will definitely suit my needs.BTW, I went ahead and did what most seem to be doing and got the NcStar 2-7x32 Pistol Scope. It seems clear enough. I am not trying to be Vasili Zaitsev (Enemy At The Gates - movie)- just a cheap meet gun and fun with a historical piece.I have not done anything but sight the scope so, I will have to update this once I KNOW how the scope and mount hold up under the fairly heavy recoil of the mosin.A once it's in and set so you know it works for you, remove and place a drop of LocTite on the threads- and so far so good. Again, after I put 100rds through it, I'll update, but everything seems fine so far!

Works, but not a perfect fit
I got this scope mount because it's supposed to fit the dovetail like what I have on my Marlin Model 60. Other reviews said they were able to mount it to the same rifle with no problems. I wanted to replace the small fixed 4 power scope that came with my gun with a 40mm scope with a 1 inch main tube so I could have something with repeatable windage and elevation adjustments. I am using this gun/scope in competition where we shot from 50 meters out to 200 meters (very easy to do with a .22LR until the breeze starts). The mount does not fit my dovetail correctly. It's on and won't move, but you can see the gap in the photos between the mount base and the dovetail. It's like they machined it to the wrong angle. When not on the gun, the adjustable piece of the scope mount base fits against base flush, but when it's on the guns dovetail, the angles don't match up for everything to fit flush. The rings fit the scopes tube and I was able to zero the gun with no issues and can hit 4 inch clays at 200 meters with no wind. Since it's a .22LR with no recoil, I'm not worried about the mount base coming loose, but I would not install this on anything more serious than a .22 rimfire.

Great Value Scope Mount for Airguns
I purchased two of the Leepers UTG Accushot mounts to use on a pair of spring piston airguns based on reviews here and on other sites. These bases fit either 3/8ths inch Rimfire grooves or the wider 11mm grooves found on European airguns equally well. One base was used to mount a pistol scope on my venerable Beeman P1 Magnum air pistol, a hard kicking (for an airgun) platform which demands a well made mount. The long clamp with three screws exerts clamping force over a couple of inches keeping the mount in place. I did use blue Loctite on all the screws. The pistol sighted in easily after the installation.Next, the more difficult install on my Diana 24D air rifle. Even the moderate power spring rifles will walk the tightest scope mount rearward due to the forward traveling mainspring and its abrupt stop as the pellet fires. The Accushot mount has a Stop pin which you screw down to engage a corresponding dimple in the rifle scope rail. I cleaned the screws and used the blue Loctite on the clamp screws and stop screw. Now, here is the complication. Break barrel spring powered air rifles are notorious for "barrel droop". The barrels almost always angle downward just slightly due to the ball detent lock. I first mounted my scope with no shims, however I ran out of elevation adjustment at 10M. So, I removed the scope and added three layers of Gaffers Tape to the bottom of the back ring. Brass or aluminum shim stock works well too. I remounted the scope and used a criss cross pattern tightening the rings. Windage was still close. I had cranked the elevation down multiple turns and ended up just about where it had been. After about ten shots the old 24D was centers and cutting sub dime sizes groups. These rings were a much less expensive and more compact solution to mounting the scope compared to a compensating base with separate rings.

Holds secure
Stronger built than a normal set of rings also mounts more secure with the 3 screw side plate, well made, have good clearance for back sight with a Burris 3x9x40

Very secure
This one piece mount has two sturdy scope rings attached. Three hex screws fix the unit to the handgun or rifle. Made for a 1" scope. I have four scopes and none feel more secure than the one attached to this item. It's easy to install, yet has the feel of a solid mount for your scope. I purchased two of them - that should convey my confidence in the product.

Installed this unit on my wife's Marlin 795SS and the slippage with the original scope rings for the 4x Bushnell was eliminated. Accurate little .22 now.
