I knew these were bright - 3000 lumens...(though you can buy 4000 lumens :-)) , however its a trade off between light output and duration. Fortunately you can reduce the brightness and use flash to ensure that you are seen for the whole ride, you wouldn't need to have the full power beam unless riding where there is no light to see where you're going. I was also impressed by the build and weight. The casing is aluminium - not plastic - sturdy and not too heavy (given there are some "big" batteries in here). My only issue is that the charging socket has a rubber "door" protecting it and I tried to open it at the wrong end and accidentally removed it completely. Being rubber it resists re-installation. Fortunately the sockets point downwards. Charging is via a USB C plug connection (it is high power after all) - so you'll need an appropriate charger. Strangely, the rear light included in the package uses a standard mini USB socket, so you may need two chargers. There was a surprise waiting for me when I did connect to charge - it has a standard USB 2/3 socket installed, so you can use the lights batteries to charge your phone if you need to. Finally, how much would you pay for all the above (including a rear light)? I was astonished at the relatively low price. Definitely worth it.

I ordered one of these a few months ago & it is perfect, very very bright. I decided to order another but the light was not a tight fit when attached to the bracket, which would have resulted in vibration when attached to the handlebars. I had to return that one. I the ordered TWO more and one of the lights fits the bracket with no vibration, the other is the same as the others....... loose fit on the bracket which would end up shaking & vibrating. I'm having to return one of these also!! However, I now have two lights which fit the bracket and are perfect. These are VERY bright & will light up the trails hugely. Good price and I'm hoping they last a while. They do run very hot. Long battery life & easily ok for me on a 90 minute XC ride. They're quite heavy though!! Another point, if you have thick handlebars the rubber strip will be too fat & you will have to use without, or just cut a piece of thin inner tube to use in its place.

This is a nice bright front light. I frequently ride on an unlite road and have been struggling to see the road surface with the front light I've been using. This made an immediate difference.There are three brightness levels. Great for when you need to be seen, but don't need to illuminate the road so much.The flashing mode is easy to select by double clicking. From there you can pick an SOS flashing mode. This sends a proper morse code pattern of flashes, so not suitable when riding.Personally I don't like the flashing mode when riding, but if you do use it, the Highway Code states that you should only use it in well lit areas.This light kept the light rain out with no issues the othe evening. I haven't had it long enough to use it in heavy rain.Charging takes a little time, but it is clear when complete.I am familiar with 18650 batteries and have a few that I could use as spares. However this is a sealed unit and you can't change the battery. This will put a lifespan on it.Fitting the front light was very easy on my handlebars.I haven't used the feature that allows me to charge my mobile from it yet. The supplied cable will reach in my case, but you will lose any waterproof assurance whilst doing this. Think of this as a backup should you need it. I would suggest a decent power pack would be better as they can hold more power and charge both the light and mobile if required.The rear light is also very nice. Once more it is waterproof in the rain. Charging again is easy but takes a little while.There are a few patterns to choose from. Each is bright and can be seen clearly.Fitting is easy. Whether you put it on your bike frame or your cycle helmet, it'll work well.It is the rear light which can be rotated to different angles. This is highly useful as it allows you to choose a suitable mounting position more easily. I've fitted mine to a spare helmet as the built-in rear light has failed on that.

Great pair of units.The ability to charge your mobile in an emergency is FAB and much longed for.Other reviewers have covered the ease of operation and brightness, so I'll just add that the rear unit is far more robust than my trusty cat-eye rears, they fall open on bumps making them useless on my Mt Bike. Furthermore, this one has a nifty clip that means you can attach it to a bag or even clothing ... I'm ordering another set now, this was chosen for my partners commuter bike as she has a part of her journey with little street lighting and complained that her existing front light was simply no use for spotting obstacles in the dark.

I purchased 2 of these and both had the same issues. The front light clips in as shown but does not connect securely resulting in it rattling constantly. The rear light can be set vertically of horizontally but does not stay in place and spins around. Yes it still does the job, but if I place it vertical it is because I want it vertical and would expect it to stay in place. Unless you cycle with earphones in I would not recommend this product

Front light is extremely bright on full power, too much for city commute but great to illuminate the darkness. Solidly built, clamp doesn’t for by road bike bars with the bolt in the box and looks quite industrial, I’ve had to change to an extra long bolt. back light bright but not great on battery life (only a couple of charges in though).However, having charged it once I can’t now get the front light to accept another charge despite me trying multiple chargers and cables (it needs more than a standard 1.5v phone charger head, I.e an iPad or laptop charger). I am therefore returning it.
