I have two of these in a well-used woodshop. Works great, I've noticed a lot less dust settling on things.

I'm overall pleased with this fan. It's always quiet and has a timer function for auto shutoff. I definitely notice that I feel less congested after working in the shop since I installed this fan, and that is reason enough for me to recommend it.

I use a dust collection system and a ceiling hung air filtration unit in my workshop, but since adding this device there is far less fine dust hanging in the air. This is true even when I do not turn on the ceiling unit. It is clear from the amount of very fine dust that collects on the screen of this device and from there being far less fine dust settling overnight on surfaces in the shop that this device is far more effective than what I had been using.That it appears to clear the air very well is most important, but it is also pleasant that the device is very quiet. I will qualify this by saying my hearing is not what it was, but at its highest setting this unit is barely noticeable to me even though I like to have it close to where I am working. It is also easily portable, so it is not difficult to have it close by me. Build quality seems high, as one would expect of Powermatic. It is expensive for me, but I'm very glad I bought it.

I have a small basement home shop. Looking for better dust control on small particles. I have a canister dust collector but this does not get the small particles. I would alway notice a lot of dust stirred up in the air after a lot of woodworking.I had contemplated standard air cleaning units in past. These are quite loud and take up a lot of space.This unit works great. It small footprint allows it to sit on top of a five foot tool chest and just clear under the seven foot ceiling. I also like the timer that allows me to have it run for a certain amount of time after I complete my project to clean the air. I have done a number of projects now and have done noticed less dust created.

I do a fair amount of woodworking as a hobby. Eventhough I have 2 large dust collectors I still generate a ton of dust causing me to look seriously at an added piece of equipment. This fan is fantastic. It's portable so I can place it near the immediate work area. A bit heavy but the big thing is that when it's running you won't know it cause it doesn't make the noise you'd expect from a fan. I've learned to use the timer and now set it for 8 hours that way after I'm done it can continue to clean the air after I'm gone. You'll eventually notice the particles that it picks up on the outer screen. The filter lasts some crazy 3000 hours. Great purchase.
