I’ve had this for about six weeks.So far so good!I’ve read multiple reviews, both good and bad, and although I can’t speak for anyone else’s personal experience, I have not had the problem of water getting under the cover as others have complained about. (But then again, I am not a swimmer or avid exercise enthusiast).The Apple Watch Series 8, 41mm (water resistant not waterproof), that I have, does come with a water ejector option you can find on the list that swipes up from the bottom of the screen and looks exactly like a teardrop. 💧Once tapped on, the Screen returns to normal with a small teardrop icon at the very top….all you need to do then is press in and hold the dial/button on the side for a few seconds, until the audio alert finishes. (I’m not sure if any of the other reviews with the water issues have already tried to use this opportunity before registering their complaints)….I do notice that moisture does tend to get under the watch itself sometimes, so I simply remove the Watch to wipe it down. In general I always wear my watch on the opposite hand that I use most often, and have it placed well (about 3/4 inches), above the wrist bone and joint. I use the Apple Watch small nylon mesh Sports Band, which is very flexible and much more comfortable than the standard rubber type Sport Band, (which tends to hold perspiration and/or moisture too close to the skin).Also, whenever I need to do a more thorough or vigorous hand washing, I either remove the Watch, or loosen the band and slip it up over my elbow, until I am finished washing and drying, then put it back in it’s usually place again.As far as the function of the touch screen, I do notice an occasional very slight decrease when utilizing it that I can attribute to my having very dry, (and occasionally rough), fingertips.I use a high quality hand lotion for this.The only drawback is if I use too much lotion at one time it may smudge the screen a bit, but this can easily be wiped clean with a nice soft cotton or microfiber cloth. If you are going to use hand lotion I recommend avoiding the greasier variety).As long as in the future I don’t feel inclined try to backhandedly swat at any fly on the wall again, I imagine I won’t be having any further issues. (That’s a story for another time)!I will write another update should there be another reason to.
