IR thermometers read surface temperature so they are not the best choice for room air temperature. The Fluke replacement sensor (Velcro pipe surface type) is model Fluke 80PK-11 Type-K Flexible Cuff Thermocouple Temperature Probe, any type K sensor with a mini connector will work for you

Q: can this product detect heat loss thru concrete!

IR thermometers measure surface temperature. If the heat loss under the concrete causes the surface to be cooler, the 561 can measure that, but it won't measure the temperature through the concrete.
