The drill press station has always been one of the messiest corners of any workshop because traditional dust collectors can't get adequate suction close enough to the working end of the bit. By fully surrounding your drill press chuck and bit the Drillnado is able to capture chips and dust right at the source. The Drillnado can connect to any existing dust collection system or shop vac and is able to attach to drill press quills up to 2.6" in diameter while the Drillnado XL attaches to drill presses with quills 2.95" or less in diameter. For both units, the expandable housing can accommodate drill bits up to 1-5/8" in diameter out of the box, but they can be cut to size to accommodate bits up to 3-1/8" diameter.

Good idea, lousy execution
I love the idea, but it didn’t work on my floor mount Ridgid drill press. The bellows are crooked and deformed now, after no real use, and I can’t get it to function at all. I was excited when I saw it and couldn’t wait to get it, but it was a waste of money. Went in the bottom of a drawer and never gets used. I may try to build my own using these principles - the basic idea has merit, but the implementation is lousy, the bellows are low quality, and the company doesn’t really stand by their product.

Great dust removal
Does a great job of removing waste. You may have to slow the feed rate if a large amount of waste is involved. The plastic accordian shroud seems a bit flimsy.

Don't buy this!! I bought one at a woodworking show and he co,pletely fast talked me. I have a porter cable drill press which I told him. He said I'd have to make a minor modification but it wouldn't be a problem. However, I found out the quill is too short and the product is not compatible with my drill press. I tried calling him, etc but he completely blew me off. Noone should buy from people who don't stand by their products.
