Great Item
I've got to say I was not holding much hope that this item does what it says. I'm in the middle of a very long run to my Driveway gate which is a little over 1000 feet. At 310 feet I have some IP cameras mounted. They were not powering up POE very well. So I added this extender and actually came out of both sides and mounted 2 cameras. This thing fired right up and both cameras came on with solid video and sound. I really can't figured out exactly how this thing works but it performs flawlessly. I'm totally impressed.

Never worked
Forget direct trial or outdoor, it did not work indoors, plain and simple. Not sure what went wrong! :(

Worked fine for 4 months
I wanted to like this device. It looks well built and worked fine for about 4 months, then failed. It would pass power fine but not data. Something this expensive should last at least a year, preferably 5 years.
