An Eye-Opener about Branham and his beliefs
This book was more than I expected about the life of Branham and how he used religion to enrich himself and as a cover to promote his activities as a supporter of the Ku Klux Klan and to promote his own political agenda. The book is well documented with news articles, interviews and sermon transcripts of Branham’s dual life.It is a must read in understanding how too many preachers gain too much power to manipulate their followers for their on personal gain and how they turn a church into an occult.

Absolutely impressed
After being forced to join "the message" as a new teen because my father converted over night I never felt quite right about the whole thing. When I moved out, against the "rules", I finally started to feel normal. After reading this I understand why it all felt off.You can tell how meticulously the author put this book together. I cant even imagine how many hours and days this took to research and being together for the public to have access to. The references are all here for anyone questioning the authenticity of the information to look up themselves and encourage you do so. Some won't believe it even if they had a direct quote from this "prophet" saying it was all a lie.My parents will never believe this, especially individuals in "the message" that are more of the narcissistic variety. Control and being told they are the most special of the special is too intoxicating for them but for those of you questioning like I did at a young age this is for you. Adaption does not always equal conversion and you don't have to believe lies to feel "safe".

The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
When the disciples questioned Jesus about his return He warned them about false prophets doing signs and wonders. Paul and Peter in their epistles gave the same warning. Did Branham warn his followers about that when he was preaching the last days? I seriously doubt it, or it would have exposed him. I knew he preached unbiblical doctrine, I didn't realize how evil and sinister he was until I read this book. Many in the NAR and Word of Faith movement consider him a great man of God. Barnham made a lot of money just like they do. I knew Barnham didn't have much use for women, but I didn't realize what a racist he was. The author is an excellent writer and has done extensive research. I couldn't put his book down. Charles Fox Parham was also a racist.

Facing the truth and its facts
Every “Message Believer” needs to read this book. If you are being honest with yourself and really want to know the truth, this book is for you. I often assume that the ministers and lay leaders of an organization first desire to know the truth before preaching its doctrine. I am amazed how Message Ministers do not seek out the truth, but believe a message that is not based on historical facts! Facts; possibly hidden by VOG recordings. I truly believe every Message Minister and lay leader has a responsibility before God and their congregations to read this book and honestly answer the questions posed by John Collins. However, when one only hears “just believe” that in itself should cause alarm. Well documented, easy to read, alone with his web site a must read! Remember the verse from our Holy Bible, “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”.

Almost Essential Reading
While I never warmed to the folksy first-person narration style, I couldn't argue with the scholarship or the conclusions. If you move in charismatic circles as I once did, this book is a tremendous eye-opener. William Branham has been praised as a modern prophet. In actuality he was a fraud and associated with some rather unsavory individuals. His teachings have leached into just about everywhere over the last sixty years, impacting everything from Jim Jones to the Toronto Blessing. If you want to know why so many evangelicals have latched onto Donald Trump, this book offers a clear concise and well-documented explanation.

Magnificent Research
An extremely important book for anyone interested in Pentecostal history! The research is top notch and very impressive! The author John Collins is to be congratulated on an outstanding job!!!! Two of Branham’s connections are absolutely breathtaking, the Kardashian family and Jim Jones. Collins takes us on his personal journey to discover the truth about William Branham and “the Message” cult. And in the process, all of us learn a lot! What a motherlode of information! I cannot say enough good things about this book, worthy of more than 5 stars! I would give it 10 or more if I could!

Meticulously Researched and referenced
I just ordered the paperback version of this book after reading it on my kindle. Why? This book is so thoroughly researched and referenced everyone that has been exposed to this “religion,” should be circumspect like the Bible tells us to be and so without ignoring facts be convinced of truth in their own mind.Truly Christians should test what we believe like the Bible tells us to knowing that every tree will bear fruit. Each of us must decide based on the Word of God if the yielded fruit is of God or not?Remember one day we will answer for what we’ve believed and whether it is according to God’s word or if we followed our own thinking.God has allowed us the insight through this book as well as other sources from this author and others that have shared their findings.I encourage every Christian to Study and show yourself approved of God.

Another Pilate's Judgment Hall
St. Luke 23:1-2 And the whole multitude of them arose, and led Him to Pilate, And they began to accuse Him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ a King.It has repeated again with Hebrews 13:8. I wonder who is behind the mask of John Collins? He has brought his case and now let's hear the defendant answer the charges as our Lord Jesus did in Pilate's Hall ... Let's give our precious Brother Branham an opportunity to tell his story verbatim in the tape MY LIFE STORY.And then you judge who the charlatan is. But remember, with what measure you mete it will be meted back to you.

Best Message Book Ever!!!
If you have left the Message, are thinking of leaving the Message or have heard of the Message and would like to know more, this book is the first book I, as a former member, recommend! The author is the first and only person to research this little known cult - little known to mass media - despite it spreading worldwide. You may see them walking about your local grocery store or have family members in it but never scratched the surface of what their beliefs and lifestyle entails til now. You could only do so if you were born into it, suffered abuse and brainwashing, and dealt with its powerful higher-ups, much like the author has. It's pages are bone-chilling, fascinating and sad, all while informative and thorough. In some ways comparible and yet other ways unique, to popular and shocking accounts that made news history.Don't hesitate if this is your genre. John Collin's work is life-changing!

Captivating and very informative!
A book release that was urgently necessary! The unveiling of the true story of the so-called prophet William Branham and the cult that was formed around him. And who could present it more clearly than the former insider John Collins?! Thrillingly and objectively at the same time! This book clears up William Branham‘s self-invented life story as well as his reputed Divinely inspired „Message“. One example out of chapter 13: William Branham’s Serpent’s Seed Doctrine finds its origin in the racist ideology of the Ku Klux Klan. His renowned mentor, Rev. Roy E. Davis, was none other than a high-ranking representative of the KKK. A verifiable fact William Branham did not tell. John Collins research on Roy E. Davis is also very impressive. To me it was a captivating read to follow John Collins how he „realized that the prophet’s life off-stage did not match his words on stage.“ (Chapter 18).

Brilliant Read!
Absolutely riveting! Extremely well researched and documented. I'd recommend this book to anyone remotely familiar with Branham and his message, or those interested in the early "glory days" of the Pentecostal movement and the post WWII healing revival. Eye-opening.
