Q: Are these shiny or matte

It is matte but the it has 10% spandex that makes it kinda shiny. It’s mainly the flash of the camera making the spandex more pronounced

Q: Does this pair of leggings pill after washing?

No it doesn't. Most shapewear is best kept in perfect quality if hand-washed and line-dried, but you can machine wash cold, soft cycle and then line-dry. No dryers!

Q: So i wear a large in yoga pants would this be the same size?

I wear an XXL in clothing and the XXL fit snuggly but perfectly. These pants are great for shaping and they stayed up even after a large lunch.
