I've taken these to the woods where it is very dark and around campgrounds where there is a lot of ambient light. In no moon and starts and in full moon and bright stars.Overall these work well in conditions with a moderate amount of ambient light. It says the viewing distance is 400 meters, not a chance in the dark. In the woods, you'll see more eyeballs looking back than the actual animal unless there is a fair amount of light.The instructions could be clearer, someone who has never used infrared before might be confused.Pros, these do work well enough for an entry level set of IR binoculars. I like that you can video and take photos, that's a plus for sure. The practical viewing range of these in the dark is around 100m. The carrying case is nice but not protective.The zoom does work well but it gets fairly grainy in the dark. They do include a 32gb mini sd card which makes using the binoculars fully functional out of the box.Cons, heavy, batteries not included.If I were going to buy another pair I'd probably spend a little more and get something more advanced but I'm not at all unhappy with these for what they are designed to do, just don't expect anything close to the range or clarity they imply in the description.

Honestly, I bought these for a spotting around my house to make sure no vermin animal. I have a thermal spotting scope also, but this is good to have extra. It gives me something to see in the night, and these are perfect for the price. I tested it and it pretty good detail, but still I wished the focus could have been a little bit sharper. However, I have no doubt these will do the job. My friend bought few others night vision binocular ranging from $100 to $500. All are junk, including one from Bushnell at $285. He went on a hog hunting trips with me one time. It clearly outshines the other entire one in the dark of night. He can see the hogs clearly out to 100 yards from where we were. It's a fantastic equipment to have when you are hunting at night, too. My expectation were pretty high but after using those bad boys for over a week now, I am 100% sold I can see everything even when there is zero light around. And the fact I can record video with sound makes it so easy for my friends and me to record our hunts. I am very excited because I finally found a lightweight, real night vision infrared pair of binoculars under $1000. The instruction was easy and the accessories seem to be very useful so far. I like that it comes in a protective case so the binoculars can’t get damage during shopping.

This was my first experience with night vision binoculars, and they were very easy to set up and use.The recording function is awesome. Lot of fun for watching owls, coyote, deer, etc at night.They were also thoughtful enough to include a memory card (32 GB), so it's ready to use right out of the box.I have two complaints. First, I wish they came with a hard or padded case for protection. Second, they didn't seem to perform well for long range. Perhaps at this price point it's unrealistic to expect longer range performance. Nonetheless it's still a solid thumbs up from me.

This is a nice pair of IR binoculars. The optics are crystal clear, the zoom works great and taking a picture is as easy as it gets. The IR light built into the binoculars does not always come on when using it and I haven’t figured out why. When it does work it give a nice clear black and white image and I have now found why my German Shepard takes off when I take her out at night. One day she’s going to catch that rabbit. Other than the intermittent IR light, these are a great pair of binoculars.
