Wonderful Product
I have an AIO PC and the mouse got damaged after 5 years basically due to my negligence. I didn't check the battery and it leaked and damaged the mouse. Instead of wasting time on repair, I ordered this one. But, in the hurry, I forgot to connect the USB connector provided with the mouse. Obviously, it didn't work. When I went through the operating instructions, I realised my mistake and connected the USB connector to the port. It started working without any issues.

Budget Silent mouse from HP
The best way to describe the HP s1000 plus is that it is a budget Silent mouse. Based on my use for few days this is what i feel about the product : 1. Under Rs. 800, this is the best option for silent mouse 2. In hand feel is nice and its in the middle in terms of size, not too small 3. The buttons have nice click and hardly any sound is heard 4. The scroll wheel on the other hand is a mechanical one and it makes a rough sound when scrolling which is a turn-off since the buttons have silent click and the scroll is very tight. 5. Mouse has standby function if idle for 5 mins and auto off feature when laptop shuts down while usb receiver is still connected to the laptop 6. Battery life yet to be tested as the battery provided in box was quite old, And there is no battery low indicator either. Problems i noticed with the mouse and i fixed them with DIY method by opening the mouse: 1. Scroll wheel was too tight and made mechanical sound 2. Laser light is very strong and pops out from the gap around the scroll wheel 3. Mouse doesn't work on rough surface or very smooth surface Overall great wireless mouse. Good for casual and business purpose, not meant for gaming.

HP dropped its quality a lot.
About the mouse: 1. Although the clicks themselves are silent, the surface shell is cheap and makes a noticeable sound every time you click. This invalidates the silent click feature. 2. It has a hardware-level auto-sleep feature that is VERY INCONSISTENT. Many times it turns completely off, and fails to connect to the receiver. Although the unit had this issue as a defective product, there were instances of this happening to others too. 3. I went for this mouse by brand name, ignoring small brands like Arctic Fox and Portronics. That was a HUGE mistake. The internals of this mouse are the same cheap chinese mouse boards, the same type used by generic brands. The only advantage you can get is the warranty service. 4. If something goes wrong with the mouse, you'll have to take the mouse YOURSELF to an HP service centre that can handle peripherals, and such are centres are few and far. 5. HP's mouse quality has degraded tremendously, the older mouse I used (HP 150 wireless) was way better in quality compared to this one (which was supposed to be an upgrade). 6. Scroll wheel is very very loud, and is of cheap and poor quality. All in all, this mouse was terrible (keep in mind I got a defective one), but Amazon's customer service was much better.

Good features for this price but faced replacement delivery issues
Terrible experience with replacement, since the scroll wheel was different, had to go through customer service agent and would get false notification of replacement delivered without actually getting a replacement, and then agent would tell me to make a new order. This happened twice, (2nd time was faulty product) and i finally settled for the product on my 3rd order, i realised the scroll button was chrome for the previous version, the newer ones (the ones selling now) have rubber scroll. Mediocre product overall but good features for the price. It's quite silent, lightweight, compact, simple black design and you get a dpi button all for just 600 bucks. This will work fine, but i suggest investing in a good mouse that'll definitely be above 1000 and reliable too like logitech or dell.

Good Mouse but had to replace the battery in less than a month
The mouse is fast responding, response much like wired mouse, buttons are good, soft, silent and it is a normal size mouse fits well into palms. However, it stopped working in less than a month, then I just gave it a try if replacing battery works. I replaced the original AA battery with a new DURACELL ULTRA AA battery and it worked smoothly without any issues at all. Thus, if your mouse stops working, sensors refuse to turn on, then try replacing the battery with a high quality DURACELL ULTRA AA battery. It should work, else it is a sensor defect.

Signal Issues
Mouse works as advertised. Small form factor. Scroll wheel is excellent with premium feel to it. The clicks and scrolling are virtually silent. No noise made while using the mouse which is plus for people who work late night. However I am having issues with signal reception. Many times the mouse movement is choppy and unresponsive. I am guessing it is due to distance of mouse from receiver, the problem is not seen when mouse is near receiver. That is disappointing as the at that range, the mouse is not usable.

Great value for money. Fairly light mouse, but works briliantly. Also works out of the box easily, hence bouth a second one.

I’m very happy with the HP S1000 Plus Silent Wireless Mouse. The clicks are truly silent, making it perfect for office and late-night use. The wireless connection is smooth, setup was instant, and the mouse feels comfortable with accurate tracking. The seller provided a great buying experience — the product was delivered promptly, well packaged, and exactly as described. Everything was smooth from order to delivery, which is always appreciated. Overall, this is a high-quality mouse at a very reasonable price, and the seller is reliable and professional. Highly recommended.

The quality is rather basic, but it has silent buttons and gets the job done. HP keyboards and mice often have a questionable build quality, giving the impression that they were outsourced.

I recently purchased the HP Wireless Mouse – contoured and ambidextrous here and so far, it’s been a solid value. The design is comfortable and ergonomic, though I’d say it fits best for medium to smaller hands—not ideal for larger grips. Setup was plug‑and‑play, with no drivers or fuss required. The optical sensor feels accurate and responsive on various surfaces—not just my desk. Overall, it feels sturdy and well‑built for the price, and absolutely legitimate as a genuine HP accessory.
