Must read for leaders on a mission
What a valuable handbook. Far too many people are experiencing toxic leadership, and it doesn’t have to be this way. I buy these books as gifts for my training session participants learning to build a healthy culture. Love this manifesto for being compelling and succinct - a much needed resource as we evolve the workplace from command and control. Thank you Omar!

This guy is a DANGEROUS
I am a firm believer in ‘absolutes’ and I think our world is lacking this in a time of relativism and individual truths. I think that a little white lie is still just that, a lie. I think that some near truths seasoned with a bit of hidden, but potentially intentional, deception is possibly the highest form of evil and exactly what you should expect from a heretic and a false teacher. That’s exactly what I fear this book offers. Some good thoughts, and some good ideas that dance very near to actual truths, but eventually brings in some little lies, half truths, and outright deceptions which make it incredibly dangerous. Mr. Harris uses some great leadership truths and manipulates them to fit his own political agendas. He plagiarizes other ideas that have been demonstrated for centuries and adds some contemporary themes to make them more palatable for a modern day audience while sprinkling in some horribly deceitful thoughts of his own. I am not sure how you can possibly speak of servant leadership and never mention the true author of the concept…JESUS CHRIST! He does understand some of the failures of many modern leadership models, and he understands the need to focus on a more relational model of leadership in our modern world, but the motivation behind building those relationships for Mr. Harris is shallow at best and likely hedonistic if the truth were know. It can be nothing else without acknowledging the one who put in all of us our need for positive relationships as image bearers of a Triune God. Please steer clear of this book as it is subtle in its deceit but nonetheless very dangerous.

Go-To Guide for Servant Leadership by Global Pharma Executive
If you’re leading any type of team today, you Must Read “The Servant Leader’s Manifesto” by Business and Leadership Thought-Leader Omar L. Harris. The author openly shares lessons learned and case studies based on his over 20-year career as a global pharmaceutical executive at Pfizer, GSK, Allergan, Schering-Plough and more. The author encourages readers to try a new way of leadership to engage employees using positive psychology, building upon strengths and focusing on a higher purpose that matters to everyone vs. just dollars. As a leader who’s actually applied Servant Leadership skills to managing enterprise teams vs. just talked about it, this book is the real deal. And while many managers are hesitant to change the typical “Boss” at the top hierarchy, Harris explains why inverting the hierarchy and using “humility, will and empathy” can produce even greater results and increase your influence as a leader. Similar to the easy-to-read management tips in “The One Minute Manager” by Ken Blanchard, Harris’ book is your go-to guide for Servant Leadership in 2021!
