After several years of use I am so impressed with this welder. It has been excellent for my needs, there is nothing in this price range that comes close to this things versatility and capabilities. I specifically wanted a welder with 100% duty cycle at high amperage with large spool capacity as my projects often involve thick steel with welds running for several feet, it’s a game changer being able to run nonstop and have a piece done that a lesser welder would be cutting out to cool down over & over. To get that performance elsewhere you’re normally talking big money on a machine that can only do one type of welding.Speaking of other types of welding, I’ve burned some rods as well and it’s super smooth, better than my 225 tombstone which I have since gotten rid of because of this machine.Overall the build quality is impressive, everything feels sturdy, the mig gun is really nice and the cables and carry handle are beefy. Only thing I’ve done is swap out the ground clamp with a solid copper one. Changing the polarity or switching from mig to stick is well thought out and quick to do.If you’re looking for a machine that’s portable yet powerful/versatile enough to keep you running for the long haul then consider this welder, even as you expand in the future it will be a reliable go to in your shop.

One look at this welder, from the size of the wire spool, the 600v cable, the MiG gun and 300amp electrode holder tells you this is a serious welder. I have used Miller MiG welders, have owned a Hobart and used a variety of others—-but this is far more power for less money. An AMAZING VALUE!!Now I understand why a professional welding shop bought three of them. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!!!

I bought three of These welders after talking to Nick at Canaweld six months ago.I have grown tired of buying Lincoln welders full of Chinese parts that go out even with a 3 year Warranty . You’re still a welder down for two weeks.We have run the welders on average six hours a day. We have run 0.35 solid wire and .045 seem less wire you can certainly max out the duty cycle with .045 wire but Dial it in and you can run all day. The welders are not advertised as tig welders but I put a tig torch on one for stainless steel and ran great! I opened one up I could not find any parts from China. The only thing close is the Regulator is made in Taiwan. I have no problem with other Countries just want Quality. And as little down time as possible. Received the welder a bit later than promised but not surprised considering all the covid-19 related issues with shipping in general. The unit had a ding from being dropped somewhere along the way. It in no way affected it's use as these things are built pretty stout. I would have returned it but needed to use the kit for a film project and decided to just keep it and let Amazon know. Without giving away the plot I'm just going to go on record saying Amazon went above and beyond to make good on the "ding" and made sure my experience was to satisfaction.Regarding the welder itself... I ran a spool of .030 and .035 flux core through it and was pleasantly surprised at the weld consistency and quality. I then ran 0.35 hard wire on 3/8" butt joint plate using a Blue Demon spool that simply floored me. This thing lays a bead comparable to both my Miller Dimension and Lincoln 256 at work. Furthermore, running this thing off a 9000 watt "dirty power" generator made no difference at all compared to grid juice. Looking forward to getting this little beast out for some heavy work next week.

The machine as a whole is an awesome welder, it has done everything we have asked of it and more, my only complaints are the power switch is in a bit of a bad spot if you have a rear mounted tank, as well if you are welding In any tighter areas the gun is a little larger than we would like but as a whole has worked well.

If you're thinking of buying a welding machine and you're thinking about this one all I can say is go for it ! This is an excellent little machine. Works better than my other two machines . It's very good welding machine for all kind of jobs , excellent all around . I can't think of anything bad about it . It's good quality and good price too. It's an excellent machine. I love it ! I also highly recommend the seller ( Canaweld ) they have excellent customer service.

Picked this welder after looking at all options, Price was a big factor and the specs are Great.You get a lot value for the money when compared to other welders like Miller, E-sab and Lincoln. the other welders were easily $500+ more.Made in Canada was a plus, Which is hard to find these daysSetup was fairly easy.The auto feed button for loading wire is awesome saves gas.Wish there was a chart for recommended starting point for voltages and wire speed for material thicknesses.IMO the Machine works as good Lincoln 255c I have workNext is one of there plasma cutters
