Very nice, 2 different size bags. First time using this brand. I vacuum seal a fair amount of different food. I take advantage of meat on sale, as well as berries. Great for berries if you know the proper way to seal them. Clean and freeze berries prior to freezing. Take berries out and VERY IMPORTANT….do not pile them on one another. Lay berries flat and hold them down while you are vacuuming out the air. Air caused freezer burn. This will help prevent freezer burn. I have kept mine in freezer for almost a year using this method. They are just like I purchased the from the store. Note: of course only good for smashing them for strawberry shortcake.

I have used those "name brand" bags and rolls for many years, but the cost keeps going up and the quality seems to have declined to where that name brand has pin holes and sometimes unsealed edges.So I thought, why not see if there is a commercial product available? This is the first product I decided to try.First of all, IMHO these are THINNER than the brand name product, but the basic design is the same with one smooth side and one with crosshatch pattern to allow air to be vacuumed. The biggest variables are the name brand bag has (barely visible) cutting guides on the glossy side, where this has none, and this product has smaller seal areas on the edge, which are still fine but allow for a bit more product in the same 'size' material.The thinner material seems to hold up fine as I sous vided corn on the cob, one of the higher temp items I sous vide and one where I have had failures before. No failures so far with sous vide or freezing products.I will buy again. Once I find my micrometer I will provide exact thickness values for this and the name brand product!

These bags have worked just fine as a substitute for the more expensive Foodsaver bags. They hold a seal well and protect the food from freezer burn. The last a long time.
