New Star Foodservice22735 Bakelite Ashtray, Set of 6, 4", Black

They work like most ashtrays so I'm reviewing on actual functionality (really, how many ways can you review "big nasty ash holder"?), but there is one flaw the average smoker will find hating - the dips to hold a cigarette are too big so they won't "hold" a cigarette. Most smokers will know, especially with the firesafe cigarettes, that pointing a lit cigarette into the bottom of an ashtray will cause it to go out, or worse - make any butts down in the tray start to smolder.I tried all the ashtrays and only 3 have one or two of the dips that will attempt to hold a typical/standard size cigarette.

Every single ashtray cracked on the bottom from edge to edge. I do keep them outside so I don't know if the sun did it or the cigarettes burning in them. I waited until everyone of them cracked and I'm on the last one right now to write a review.

The slots are too large for a standard cigarette....... Not bad if the cigarette tips in but that's not how a cigarette Burns....... When it burns it normally falls out of the ashtray...... I can't imagine I'm the first one that's inquired about that problem.....
