4 Rabbits, No Dulling--Great Size for Small to Medium Game and the Gut Hook Sped Up the Process
Yesterday was harvest day for a 15 week kindle of Californian / New Zealands. My wife wanted the skins off like a sock--one continuous, unbroken tube--so she could do some work lining gloves and scarves she is preparing for gifts this year. It's a more complex way of skinning to save as much of the skin as possible, so I wanted a more precise knife and, preferably, a gut hook. This set worked perfectly. The gut hook made it easy to neatly ring the necks like a zipper, the feet the same way, and to cut the V I was looking for from each leg around the tail and hiney. And the narrower skinner? That thing is narrow, sharp, and agile. I was using an old set of pocket knives in place of my larger skinning knife for convenience and for the detail work with fascia and connective tissues. No longer. This thing did most of the work for me.I didn't notice any significant dulling or failure to puncture or slice by the fourth rabbit. I was under the impression that it would have just kept up the skinning for another 4 without needing to be whetted into shape. Then, after cleanup, I took the set to my Ken Onion Worksharp system. I was able to get it sharper than factory on a 400 grit belt, 5 pulls each side, about a second per inch. I followed with a 1,000 grit polish at 4 quicker pulls because I couldn't find my 800 grit belt. My kids are at the point that they can sharpen their own pocket knives, but this means that they are using my tools now too, so--I am going to purchase another set or two. No joke. They are not as Cadillac as a certain $400.00 skinner I have, but they work nearly as well and any inadequacies in the steel are managed easily after each day's run. More sets means more of us can work at the same time with our new, favorite skinning set for small to medium animals. Thanks, Elk Ridge.

Great knife set
Bought this in 2016 and have been cleaning deer and hog ever since. It is my "go to" knives when processing. I added a rope to be able to hang up the small knife when not using but wish the large one had a place to add a rope.Definitely recommended them and would buy again.

Great Knives for Price
The knives needed a bit of work to get a good edge on them before taking them out for the first time, but that’s no big deal. A couple mins with a handheld sharpening tool and I was good to go. Broke down 3 dear in 24 hours with these knives. They certainly started to lose their edge by the end, but that is to be expected. Used the gut hook knife for breaking the down and the straight blade for deboning, it worked great. Will touch up the edge before every hunt, but very happy with the purchase.

Great knives ...bad sheath
I bought these for hunting 3 months ago and are still very sharp. But, the outside sheath came apart and the knife sticks out of the bottom. Can't find a replacement sheath.

Sharp!
I got these for my daughter a few years ago and she still uses them 2 years later. They sharpen easily and holds their edge for a decent amount of time.

Gave it to my husband 2 years ago, and still his favorite!
Bought this for my hubby for hunting in 2020. This is now the second season he's had this, 4 deer later, he just came in to tell me again how much he loves this knife set. He does all his own deer processing, skinning and butchering. He also uses this for skinning the heads for European mounts. This is the best set he's ever had for all of the necessary steps. I've bought him many knives for hunting over the years, this is probably the least expensive set and has blown away all the rest. I'm buying another couple sets for family members and a backup set for him (if he ever needs them!)

Great for vulture culture!
I'm not a hunter, but a hobbyist taxidermist. Basically, I pick up fresh roadkill and I preserve the bones, and now, I'm preserving the hides as well. I got this set of knives with the intention of using them just for the tails of squirrels and raccoons, but today I decided to give a full-body skinning a try. I've never done it before and wasn't sure if I could stomach it, but let me tell you, these knives really made it an easy process. The blades are very sharp. They glide through the meat and sinew easily and I had no trouble separating the skin from muscle. The knives were easy to work with in my small hands and I was able to cut through flesh with minimal sawing motions. After a few hours of work, I now have a really, really nice squirrel pelt. I can't wait to use these knives again.

Sharpness
I like the shape of the Knives. If you do decide to get these you may want to put a Sharper edge on them. They’re sharp when you get them But I prefer a super sharp knife! They are worth the money.
