Does not Transmit 10w, very disappointed! A product should met or exceed advertised spectifications.
The radio works but with advertised 10w on transmit it does not met . 8.03 w max averages 7.89 watts across band. (I charged battery fully before use and measuring for power). This product took over 2 weeks to get here. If purchased locally I would return it in a heart beat. I would wait to order locally from now on. I was going to purchase a couple more but now I doubt it. Programing cable and software works. The manual is very so so. It will take time to figure out all the menu options and China's terminology. The battery cradle works great and it took 3-4 hours to fully charge battery before use.

IT'S COMPLICATED
Got my KG-UV9 MATE about a week earlier than expected. The tracking of the radio was not the best but I did get it early. This radio is much more complicated than I expected so I have a long learning curve. One thing to note is that there were two antennas in the box. The Wouxun antenna fit the radio but the second antenna has a male connector and does not fit on the radio. Maybe once I figure this radio out I might update my review. I also have a Wouxun KG-805G which is very easy to operate and would have been the better choice if I hadn't already orderd the KG-UV9 Mate.

Love it
I’ve had the carious 9D radios for 5 years now but this one so far is the best one! Battery life is decent but wouldn’t mind a little more. Screen light is still poor but it does great on receive unlike the other brand Chinese radios.

Great radio
I'm just getting acquainted with this radio, but I am having good success with it so far. Great range! It is a bit involved to program it from the front panel and the manual is occasionally hard to understand. Check out YouTube videos and forums for guidance,
