Works great for Rocksmith on PC
Bought this cable to use with my Steam version of RS (Rocksmith 2014) and my bass guitar. The cable works great for this usage! Configuration is key for using it there, because the device shows up as a "microphone", so you need to set up RS properly to use that input... and if you have other inputs on the computer, then you may need to force RS to use the device "microphone" as opposed to some other one... but once you get that figured out, this cable works great. And it's so much cheaper than the official RS cable, which is also relatively difficult to find and apparently has durability issues. I can't say this one is going to be that much more durable (I haven't used it as much as others, I'm sure)... but for the price, it's a great deal!I do with there was a volume adjustment on this somehow, but I think RS reduces the volume during your calibration process, so it may just take more tinkering in there to get the other volumes turned "down" so that this one can be relatively higher in the mix. I haven't played with it enough to figure this out. (RS should adjust the volumes to like 50% on theirs sliders, so you can go higher with certain things easily... the alternative is to turn everything else down, which gets you the same behavior, but takes more steps.) In the end, none of this is a fault of the cable, so it gets 5 stars!

MAC USERS LISTEN UP!
I have found a simple an EASY way to make this cable work for both Garageband and Rocksmith 2014 on MAC!For GarageBand:1. insert the cable into mac2. Select “connect a guitar base of amp…” under audio. Also select input: “input 1” and check the box for I want to hear myself play as I record (optional)3. Select “GarageBand" from the top title bar (next to Apple), and go to “preferences”, "Audio/Midi”, and CHANGE YOUR OPTPUT to speakers and input to the cable (if it isn't already set properly)4. Record and have fun!For Rocksmith 2014:1. Plug the cable in2. SELECT MICROPHONE instead of real tone cable! This works perfectly. Don't waste your time with the extra steps, no mods are needed! Under microphone, it should then ask you which microphone, and select USB Input 13. Play!Hope this helps you with a bit of troubleshooting. I was having a headache trying to figure out what hoops and loops I would have to jump through in order to get a mod for a game on a mac. Try this before, because its only a few steps

Doesn't work with Windows 11, apparently
Item is supposed to be a USB interface that will work for an electric guitar to plug into one's computer. I followed all the instructions, selected the device in my computer's sound settings, and nothing. Tried it a few times - nothing. Light came on on the USB interface, it showed in the sound settings where I selected it, but it simply does not work. Apparently, not with a Windows 11 OS, anyhow.

A Good 3rd Party Alternative for Rocksmith
I use it for Rocksmith and it's worked fine for the most part. Occasionally, there's a buzz that throws off the calibration, but once you get set up and going it generally keeps up fine.

better then expected
I was a little worried about the sound quality and durability, but i was impressed. The sound quality is better then the brand name cable. I dont use it as often as i should, but i use it more then my standard guitar cables. To get the least delay, i plugged it in the highest speed usb port on my motherboard, otherwise the delay is pretty bad (not the cables fault entirely, mostly the hardware i run). For anyone buying this cable, make sure you plug it into the fastest port you have on your pc. ALSO, to use with a certain guitar based game, make sure you get the NOCABLE patch. Otherwise YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE IT.

Does ok, latency issues
This slows signal down enough to make guitar unplayable. I will try to install ASIO drivers and try again.

AMAZING product
With headphones in, and plugged into the 3.0 port on my PC I experience nearly 0 input delay. It is a cheap cable but is so effective! I have 0 issues with it and have had it for a couple of months now!

Works great on Mac M1 and old iMac!
Works great on Mac M1 and old iMac! You must be sure to follow the steps as mentioned in another review, and make sure you check the box that says "I want to hear my guitar while recording'. If you have lag/latency, checking that box fixed it for me. I'm sure it helps to be familiar with how GarageBand works, which I wasn't, but this patch cord now has me cooking!

Not compatible with GarageBand
Didn’t work for me, but if you are a PC user it will probably work fine for you.
