Great for the price
This is my first time trying Amazon's brand. I have used K9 Advantix II and Frontline Plus topical in the past. I am just getting my dogs started on this as we just moved from AK (where you don't have to do flea & tick tx or heartworm pills). My vet had given me a dose of the combination pill that has the heartworm and flea and tick in it to cover us for the month of travel to get to the East Coast. That was the first time my dogs have had an oral Flea & Tick and I found a few ticks crawling on them throughout or trip after hikes. The ticks didn't seemed to have bitten them, but were crawling on them or ended up on me. It seemed the pill kept the ticks from biting but didn't repel them like the topical does. So far this Amazon brand seems to be keeping the fleas and ticks completely off my dogs. There is more than enough liquid in the plastic tubes, almost to much for my smaller large breed :). I am happy with this so far and it is a good price. Definitely keep these out of reach of kids or pets that will try to taste them, it would not be safe. You also have to make sure to not touch the dogs neck/backs for at least 24 hours till the liquid can soak in and ensure you wash your hands very well so you aren't ingesting/absorbing the pesticide chemicals yourself.

Kills ticks
Found a couple dead ticks in the floor a few days after using. Never seen that before with any product. I don't know if that's good or bad. Left a greasy/wet spot on dogs back for a long time (days). Much longer than other products I've used. That's bad. It was not nice to pet them for days after application. I did not find any dead fleas but we don't have them so our dogs shouldn't either.

How come?
Uh. My fault but I thought for sure these were tablets. I can't seem to find tablets unless you're buying the $100 pill like the vet sales to you. What a rip off. The vets already overcharge big time. Then they tell you your animal needs all these special shots, additives, vits, medicines. Its unreal. Since when does flea tick and mosquitos take a pill for $130,,? I do not understand it. Dogs haven't changed but everything on and in their body has gone out of this world on price. I did use this with no problems so far. Will update. No odor.

Absolutely disappointed
For years I had used the Advantix II brand. When using it I saw absolutely no fleas. But it's expense had me looking fora cheaper alternative that worked just as good. Eventually, such products started to appear. Except for packaging, the generics such as Advecta and such all seemed to work just as good. In fact after a few months use you could actually start to skip months and still controlled the fleas. The only real differences between the brand and it generics was the delivery system. Most of these required you cut the package in order to deliver the med;I didn't like that. Then I saw this product and its much lower price and thought my ship had finally arrived. I liked the packaging. It could be easier to open; people with arthritis will learn new choice words opening this but for others it's okay. But its efficacy leaves a lot of doubt. This was my first time using this brand and for the first time since using these products on my dogs, I see fleas. And usually after only a couple of weeks of application. Another thing is that when I apply it, my dogs start scratching: is it because it's starting to work or starting to irritate their skin? I dunno. I will not be buying these again. I'd rather cough up a few more bucks than see my fur babies scratching.

Did not work for me
This did not work to help solve my flea problem. My dogs are not infested but get some from the yard when I take them out to go potty. They come from the many feral cats and opossums that come into the yard. I treated my dogs and after one week I found 6 huge pregnant looking fleas fleas on one of them. My other dog who is wearing a Seresto collar only had two tiny ones. I do believe this product is the same as Advantix which I had used the prior month with the same results thinking I might have had a knock off product and that’s why it didn’t work. Unfortunately after more research I found out that there are strains of fleas that are resistant to this product. The website todays veterinary practice dot com has an article “ The Flea-Infested Pet: Overview of Current Products” that was very helpful in explaining the difference in products and effectiveness. Hopes this helps someone. If K9 Advantix does work for your dogs than I do believe this product will as well. But for those in my situation you will have to use another product.
