I keep it by my bedside to use when nasal congestion wakes me up at night. It helps, but unfortunately the effect is not long lasting. I'm unsure whether it causes rebound or if a tolerance builds. I use it as an alternative to Afrin if I want to give my nose a chance to recover from Afrin's rebound side effects, which aren't really that bad if you use as little Afrin as possible. In my case that would be one spray in the bad nostril at bedtime.
