Arrived bent but usable , very difficult to clean

Beware Of Sharp Edges
The steamer is of good quality and is versatile units uses. The main reason for lower ratings is for the knife like sharp edges around the entire bottom of the steamer. You will need gloves to clean this steamer if you used anything that leaves behind a residue. I did not wear gloves and received a significant laceration on a fingertip.

It works
After I put it together it seemed flimsy and weak. It holds up nicely for steaming, but it's very flimsy and is not easy to take apart. It's ok for the price.

Need large pot to fit larger steamer
I have a medium sized saucepan and the larger steamer didn't fit so stayed at the surface. Returned to buy one smaller one. My plan was to put larger one in first for veggies that need more steaming and then to use smaller one higher for veggies that don't require as long cooking time. With large enough pot, that might work, or maybe this product is merely 2 independent products. I'm returning and getting the smaller size.

Just an OK Steamer
It's just ok. Not as sturdy as I'd like. When full of food, the loop to lift it out of the pot bends. Mine completely broke on rhe second use.Is ok if you don't have it lift it out of the pot.

Theres room for improvement, but is is a marked progress from what we were using before.Cleaning by hand is a pain as the food gets stuck in the tiny holes. Although using a dishwasher eliminates the chore but the sharper edges cuts into the nylon dish racks. Need a smarter solution here.

I didn't realize that this 2 tier steamer basket can be broken down into 2 separate baskets. This really adds options that are really helpful

Rust after first use
I bought this steamer basket because liked the detachable 2 tiers and silicone padded feet. However, the basket rusted after first use and wash. I’ve owned 3 other steamer baskets without this ever happening.
