“Vive la reine.”
Let me tell you I had no idea what I was expecting when I decided to start this book, but I know I wasn’t expecting to be in ‘awe’ throughout 98% of it.Prince Elias, future king of France, was know as a playboy when he and his brother were spending their summers partying in Marbella. Their only time away from the media. But during his last free summer while his fathers health was decaying, he meets the girl he had a one night stand with 5 years prior. He became torn between the daughter of the man who was known to be against the monarchy and his duty.Adeline Bouchard grew up everywhere, but her main home was in the states in Connecticut and her getaway home in Marbella where he family was. After getting her degrees, she moved to London where she owns her own event planning business with her mother. But after a scandal, she goes back to Marbella for the summer to get away from the tabloids. While there she agrees to help her uncle while he travels, which included helping with his bookstore and the villas her family owns. She was ready to leave her troubles behind until she finds out the villa she needed to deliver baskets to every night was rented by the charming prince she spent a night with a few years prior. A man she could never have but couldn’t forget. What will happen with them both staying in villas right next to each other all summer? With all the tension still rising from a few years ago? While they survive this without breaking the other? Will he stick to tradition, and let her go for good? Or while they both risk it all and get their fairytale ending?I loved these two from their very first meeting, even if by the second meeting someone *cough* Elias *cough* was very moody. In the end, well about half way through it, Elias starts to stop being such a grump and starts showing his emotions and feelings for Adeline. I could read this over and over again! It was such a quick read {for me at least}. I can’t wait to counting this series!

I need more sinning! :)
I was genuinely worried there wasn't going to be a happy ending, but there was!I also really loved this concept of King Louis never having been beheaded & the monarchy was saved from being abolished. If that had actually happened, I wonder how different history would be.

This book was super entertaining and fun.But is was messssyyyyyy 😬Inconsistent, contradictory, and flat out confusing.Seriously who edited this book??In the beginning when I started to notice some little things I just brushed them off. They didn’t bother me and didn’t really matter, but about 60% of the way into the book it go to the point where things really weren’t making sense. All the characters were constantly having “mood swings.” They’d be happy about something one page and upset about the same thing another. They would encourage the FMC to do something in one chapter and question why she did it in another… It was just 🥴🥴Her relationships with her friends and parents was constantly changing without explanation and things she would say about people in the beginning were the complete opposite what what she said later on.The “plot” was just like the characters- weird. She was in London then the Versailles house then the beach house then his apartment then blah blah blah. Her company she had for a year was hosting the Queens party and future wedding. The whole reason she was back in town was because of a s3x tape scandal but that just went away because the prince told it to. Honestly the reason she was there in the first place really didn’t make sense and I think she “left” like halfway into the summer? I’m not really sure.Their relationship, or no, him being so obsessed with her was the highlight of this book.Man found out she had a date so he got all the details, showed up, and crashed it. That was AMAZING 👏👏But as for their development… they had one date after hooking up one night 5 years ago and were suddenly ✨in love✨🤨🤨🤨Overall, if you are looking for an entertaining read and can let the inconsistency just roll off your back PICK THIS UP! It really was fun and if it weren’t for all the mess it would have been amazing!

2/5 spice, but a good read
This story was cute and well written. If you’re looking for a story heavy in spice and the nitty gritty details of those spicy scented, this ain’t the story. This story is more plot than it is spice, so it’s smut. But, again, a cute and good story with a more romantic element of spice. If you like those kinds of romance novel (more tame with spice), then this is for you.

Tik Tok quote gone right?
You never know when you pick a book based on one quote but this one wasn’t too bad. I wish we had gotten more from Eli’s POV just to get a little more insight to his brain. Overall it was paced nicely, there was a good balance of romance and spice. Noting too brand new but still a good one.

Awesome fairytale romance! Loved this book!
Love love loved this book! What an awesome fairytale romance. I was hooked from the very first page! I can so see this being a film on movies 24. The characters are awesome I could have kept reading about them. I do love a fairytale and this was just perfect!Elias and Adeline meet one evening at a masquerade party thrown by the prince. They instantly hit it off and end up sleeping together, she tells him her name but he doesn’t say his. She leaves that evening and they don’t meet again until years later. They have an instant attraction which they find hard to deny. Problem is that he’s next in line for the thrown and has to marry a princess, which she’s not.

The love of Royals
I absolutely love this story! The will they won’t they relationship between Elias and Adeline is so well written, you can’t help but root for them to get together. The last 10% of the book is especially beautiful, and the ending! I think I had tears in my eyes. The changing of ancient rules for the one you love is something I have always loved reading. Because in the end, love always finds away - even if it’s between two people who go against tradition.Need more in their story, a novella post epilogue would be perfect!“May she always be by my side, not one step behind”

A Meh Read
DNF -This is the 1st book I’ve read from this author and I’m not a massive fan of Royal romances, but the summary of this one drew me in. I kinda wish it hadn’t though. As other reviewers have pointed out, there is literally zero build up or any kind of connection in their relationship. They were in love with each other after spending, at most, a couple of hours with each other.I get the whole Insta-Romance thing, but at 74% of the book, they still hadn’t spent any significant time together or had any real interactions and yet we’re expected to believe this great romance of theirs. It really irritated me as well that they were supposedly staying in Marbella and was about a 2hour drive from Paris, when it’s a Spanish resort in the South and is more of a 20 hour drive. I don’t know if this is just a geographical error on the authors part, or if she’s going for a made up town, it just really irked me.There were loads of little things that kept contradicting previous pages, like how Addie lived alone and her neighbour was keeping an eye on her flat and dusting it, but then a few pages later, Joss also lived there.Overall it felt kind of rushed, didn’t really develop or evolve into anything and just went with the same boring journey as pretty much every other Royal Romance. I gave up at 75%.Shame, as had the author spent a bit more time at the bringing creating a back story for them, it might have been a bit more bareable.

Sweet and Sexy Royal Romance
The Sinful King was a very enjoyable, sweet and sexy Royal romance. The more I read the more I fell in love with both the story and the main characters Prince Elias and Adeline. This was a really good read.
