Quality knife block
I hesitated because there have been very mixed reviews but I decided to take the chance and I am glad I did because this block suits my needs very well.The appearance is quite classy although a couple of the slots look a little rough inside. Some of the reviews sound like the bamboo model which I didn't consider because I don't think it has a cleaver slot. I have used this for my Zwilling knives. It takes my four star cleaver, and one of my knives that has a 26cm blade goes in with no problems. The eight slots at the bottom are just right for my steak knives. I was worried if my sharpening steel would fit but it does, although I don't think it would take the fatter style of ceramic sharpeners.Overall I would say it's about 4.5 stars, but I am happy to round it up.
