Originally posted by Throat Punch Games, a new idea every day! Product- The Pathfinder Beginner BoxSystem- Pathfinder 2nd EdProducer- PaizoPrice- $29.99   TL; DR- Probably my favorite beginner box.  100%Basics- Let’s learn Pathfinder!  This is the Pathfinder 2nd Ed Beginner Box.  It’s got a double sided map and two level adventure.  It’s got an introduction to character building, character sheets, AND pregens.  It’s got dice.  It’s full of standees and cardboard characters.  It’s got it all!Mechanics or Crunch- If you want the full Pathfinder experience, this is it.  You get four pregens, rules on how to play, and even a multilevel dungeon.  Now, the dungeon and the fights are nothing crazy complex, and you might even say they're a bit easy, but as a new player, this will be fun.  And as a new GM, this is a blast as well!  You get the basics of Pathfinder 2nd Ed with real rules, so you don't learn a system that doesn't exist.  You can also learn character building!  This is a great intro on how to play. 5/5Theme or Fluff-  I don’t expect a ton of crazy things from beginner boxes, but I honestly got a solid intro to the world and a great adventure.  You get a basic introduction to the world.  It can’t be an epic tale of the world's creation and current state, but you get a good, solid idea of the basics of the world’s story.  You also get an interesting adventure where you can play and get a few sneak peeks into future adventures.  It’s just a great way to invite both players and GMs to the world of Pathfinder.  5/5Execution-  I’ve gushed about this box so far, and this won't be an exception.  You get great dice, great books, great standees, EXTRA standees, solid pregens, and amazing books that help the players know how to play, and the GM run an an adventure on the fly.  This is what I want as a player and a GM.  5/5Summary- I’ve loved Pathfinder for a long time and played Pathfinder 2nd Ed since it came out.  I also love Starfinder, but you can see there is more love for Pathfinder 2nd Ed from this box.  Two levels of adventure, character generation guides for a few levels, dice, and standees make a great product.  Also, that the rules in this box set are the same as the real game, makes me amazingingly happy.  This is the kind of thing I will give to anyone who wants to learn Pathfinder.  If you are on the fence, get this now!  100%

The whole package of the box is so incredible and so complete (literally almost everything you need to play the game is here), so much so that nothing can be really compared to other alternatives out there. The only negative thing I have to say is that this box did not manage to convert me to Pathfinder 2.0 (I still prefer 5e and Path 1.0), yet if you want to try out Pathfinder 2.0, this is provably the best way to do so. And let me tell you that -to me- this was by far the best beginner box table top RPG experience ever.The best part of this box is though, it's the double-sided adventure map. While Pathfinder 2.0's beginner box's instruction to how run it's adventure map is slightly inferior to Pathfinder 1.0 Beginner Box's (the format of the manual to run the adventure in Pathfinder 1.0 Beginner Box was very beginner friendly, highly organized, was a joy to look at, and most of all, super fun), but the map itself is the best one I've seen (significantly better than Path 1.0's adventure map, which was still a very good adventure map) of it's kind. It's double-sided, has a very unique and individual feeling when it's being played, it's just a top notch content-quality material. In fact, I'd willingly pay $15 just for any of equivalent content-quality double-sided adventure map (just for the map alone! No guides to run required), which unfortunately I couldn't find any out there so far.As a side note, Paizo published an adventure book that continues where this box's adventure left off, but this "expansion" book is quite average at best, which is very disappointing considering how good this box's adventure is. Prepare for a major disappointment if you decide to continue and finish this adventure as Paizo intended; instead I would recommend to just make up your own stuff, or connect it/continue with some other better adventures instead.

First, despite the image on the sale page, this is the 2e Remaster version incorporating the latest rules updates from Paizo.As for the package itself, it is one of the best tabletop roleplaying starter packages available. You get a rules booklet, a great low-level starter adventure that can lead right into another good scenario (Troubles in Otari) and a full campaign Adventure Path (Abomination Vaults), a set of dice, a bunch of character and monster standee minis, a set of maps, reference cards, some pregenerated characters, and some blank character sheets. It's packed with goodies to help new players and gamemasters learn the system and have a good time, but the included adventure is good enough for vets to play too.The only teeny negative is that it's quite expensive compared to other games' starter sets which usually retail for around $25. At an MSRP of $40, the Beginner Box can be a bit much for someone that doesn't even know if they'd like it since it costs about as much as just buying the hardback Player Core book! That said, the contents are worth the price. so it's not enough of a negative to cost it any points.

I bought this set to use the Pawns in my D&D 5e game. The pawns have brilliantly printed art and come with a good handful of stands. In addition, all the extra rule books and materials for playing pathfinder were also excellent! If I do play pathfinder sometime, this set will be an incredible base to start from!

Comprei de presente para o meu namorado e ele amou demais a caixinha.Ela é de um material excelente e bem recheada. Até mais que a do D&D.Segundo ele, a caixa é super completa e ajuda bastante os jogadores iniciantes.Como eu sou novata no mundo do rpg, a primeira aventura se mostrou muito simples e fácil de entender, mesmo com todas aquelas regras, por conta das fichas prontas de personagens e das pequenas "colinhas" que recebemos sobre movimentação, ação e etc. Recomendamos bastante.Chegou super rápido também e estava bem embalada.

La caja llegó bien, trae todo lo que indica, y debo decir que es mucho mas fácil de seguir instrucciones que la de D&D, y trae muchas mas cositas, ame que trae todos los monstruos de la campaña, y trae los token de los 4 personajes que ya trae pre generados, mas además 24 personajes extras de cada clase y raza, para que elijas para jugar. Los dados son muy lindos, y los libros están muy bien hechos, no están grapados sino cosidos, la caja en si, pesa fácil kilo y medio o mas, de tanta cosa que trae.Me encanta el mapa, aunque solo esta diseñado para usarse con esta aventura, me hubiera gustado que la otra parte del mapa fuese en blanco, para usarlo mas seguido con otras campañas, pero bueno, eso se compra aparte, junto con el Core Rulebook, que es el manual que contiene una mayor cantidad de Especies, Backgrounds y Clases.Se los recomiendo mas que cualquier starter de D&D, porque no solo trae muchas cosas sino que para los que vamos empezando, nos explica con manzanitas jajaj

All the books and pre-made character sheets are very straightforward. For example on each premade character there's a description of all their abilities and items as well as a short summary of why would you might want to play that character and their backstory.

I had heard a lot of good reviews about this product, and when we opened it, we weren't disappointed.It has some nice fluff: dungeon playmat, monster tokens, dice. The rulebook has been dummed down to a quick and easy pick-up version.But when we looked closer, the actual core of the box: the adventure you use to introduce to new players is far too small, badly written and quite frankly not compelling.If you use this to introduce new players they will get the wrong idea of what this game and any other ttrpg really is.

Se volete avvicinarvi a Pathfinder ma non volete subito spendere un 150-170€ di manuali, questa Beginner Box è quello che state cercando. Contiene tutto quello che vi serve per iniziare, incluse due versioni ridotte del manuale del giocatore e del master e una piccola avventura completa. Ovviamente non avrete a disposizione tutte le razze e le classi e avrete solo le regole strettamente necessarie a giocare l'avventura inclusa, ma è un prodotto di altissimo livello e potrete farvi un'idea del gioco senza investirci troppo. Inoltre la scatola include qualcosa come 80 standees, che utilizzo ancora oggi per le mie sessioni, sia di D&D che Pathfinder. Questo prodotto è sempre quello che consiglio a chiunque mi chieda come avvicinarsi a Pathfinder.
