BasicForm Metal Cat Litter Scoop - Fast Sifting Deep Shovel with Comfy Handle, Designed for Multi-Cat Owners

Having snapped two plastic pooperscoopers in a week, I was looking for something more robust and found this. It arrived within 24 hours and has been doing amazing work ever since. It is really strong, with a comfortable sponge-covered handle, and the holes are big enough to let the clean litter fall through. I used the super clumping micro granules litter and it can be quite heavy when soiled. I don't know how I managed without this well-designed scoop. Makes the job SO much easier and worth every penny.

very good and easy to use, sifts quickly and cleanly

With an elderly cat and two new kittens who have to be kept indoors we have to perform the "kitty litter ceremony" at least twice a day. The previous plastic scoops did not last very long and were always breaking.This product was well worth the money as it is strong, has a comfortable handle and sieves very well. It will outlast the need for cat litter.

We have two indoor pedigree Bengals with a side alley ‘catio’ which is where their two litter trays reside. Incidentally I needed really tall / deep sided litter boxes as Bengals have a tendency to wee standing up, so to keep urine contained inside the box I made a couple of litter boxes from a large ‘really useful box company’ boxes, discard the lid, cut a semi-circular access section off one side and you have a durable, easily cleaned high sided litter box.Anyway, I think my boys like to copy each other a pee in the same corner resulting in quite a big solid lump sometimes, so a scoop made from metal is a must as one of their better efforts must weigh half a kilogram which would snap a plastic scooper.This does the job, it’s large enough to lift solids out slowly and let litter pieces drop away with little requirement for shaking etc.The rubber handle (it’s merely a sleeve over the metal handle frame) isn’t securely attached but it doesn’t really matter. I wear gloves when ‘servicing’ the boxes and it can be gripped well enough.I’d like it to be a bit sharper on the front edge to help cut under solid lumps, but that’s a minor issue. I realise not everyone prefers clumping litter, in which case this would be irrelevant.

Sift the dirt out really well. I find it a little large but overall am still very pleased.

I use a clumping litter so having a good scoop is a must. This is made of steel with a soft handle and it is very sturdy. I have a custom litter box with 10cm deep litter sand. Plastic scoops are not sturdy enough to get to the bottom of the box to "filter" all the mess. This is large and strong and after so many uses the handle sponge is still soft and spongey. I recommend it big time!

Solid and well made but may be to heavy for some people

Lovely solid scoop which is strong enough to do a proper dig out!! Still no wasted litter, bit pricey but will outlive several plastic ones!
