Great for homemade Greek yogurt!
I received these strainers in exchange for this review.I like whole milk Greek yogurt. This is VERY hard to find locally, and when found it is pricey. As such, I make my own (in a well known multi-cooker ) The appliance gives me perfect yogurt, but it isn't Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is different in that much of the whey is strained out of the yogurt after it is made. To keep the yogurt from running through the strainers, you either need to like a metal one with coffee filters or lots of cheese cloth OR you can use strainers like these. They are made from an exceptionally fine mesh fabric. It holds all the solids of the yogurt IN while the whey goes out. It does this process perfectly. I got nice thick, creamy Greek Yogurt with no wasted yogurt...only whey was in the pan below after straining. My only issues (Which don't detract in the overall rating since they WORK WELL) is that I cannot tell the 2 mesh fineness types apart (both look to be so fine I cannot tell) and each one only holds about 2 cups, so I need to use both when I make a batch to be able to strain it all at once.

Very fine strainers made from plastic
You get two strainers: a very fine strainer and a very, very, very fine strainer. Both look to be completely made from plastic, with a hard plastic for the handle and surrounding ring and a mesh made out of a flexible plastic. The measurement of the ring across the mesh space is 4 3/8" and the mesh sinks about 3" down. The plastic rim is 5/8" wide. They do not indicate how to clean them, but you can wash them in warm soapy water. I use these strainers to strain liquids (like cooled tea or nut milks) rather than semi-solids (like cheeses in cheesemaking), and they have worked well for this. I don't know if the mesh would be damaged by hot liquid.

Pretty nice
Worked great for making coffee and tea . Screens are very fine and they seem to be built fairly well the screens are attached well and are made of fairly tough material. Already used mine for a bunch of different thing including for making seedless raspberry jelly but it did take some time for the liquids to drip through so its a bit to fine for that. I think these will hold up for some time no problem

So useful!
I was looking for a mesh strainer for my daughter and while this wasn’t what she wanted I decided to try these nylon ones. I love them. Both are the same diameter (4.3") but different weights of nylon. I’ve been making lemon curd and the thinner nylon one has been great for straining the zest and pulp and providing a smooth delicious curd and they wash out easily. I see lots of uses for these. The thicker ones will be especially good for straining very fine foods. I hand wash them, tap any water off and hang them to dry….easy!

Good but not Great
These strainers worked well for my kefir making and for orange juice straining. It is very fine mesh so you have to be patient! But it really does help strain out the liquids. I have one main issue with the strainers. The mesh is folded over at the top to create the cone. When you wash out the strainer, the leftover food or pulp gets caught in the folds. If you put it through the dishwasher, it also gets caught and builds up. It is not easy to clean. I took a q-tip to it before deciding it really isn't worth it.

Not fancy, but effective
These have the tactile quality of something you'd pick up at a dollar store, with cheap plastic handle and frame construction, but they do what they're supposed to do. It's a big time saver for making cold brew coffee -- just fill a container with water and ground coffee, let it sit out on the counter for about 16 hours, then pour through the strainer into a carafe. Easier, faster, and less messy than the other ways I've tried to separate the grounds from the water previously.

Good filter bags
I used these bags when making infused oil and cream and they were durable and easy to clean, They filtered the plant matter out with no issues and the cream and oil was perfectly clear. When I was done, I simply rinsed them and ran them through the dishwasher. Unlike cheesecloth, however, you cannot twist and squeeze them to extract liquid, but you can use the back of a spoon to press the plant material to extract all the goodness you are after.
