Faster Speeds
Great product. I cannot speak for other operating systems, but for Windows 11 it was plug and play. No driver install at all. My built in wifi card got about 75 mbps download. With this adapter it went up to 230mbps. And for context I have 1 gig internet.

Great if you don't already have a wifi capable PC
Works good if you do not have a pc that is capable of looking for wifi the signal strength is good enough to casually browse the internet but not perfect for gamingIt is really easy to install on your pc because it has a USB port that you can connect onto your PCThe USB ports is goodThe heat level is goodThe product quality is good for the price

I'm in a basement, away from an access point - It works like a charm!
I've used it only for a couple of days, but so far it works right out of the box. I'm in a basement with concrete walls and the closest access point is across the hall, in another room. Signal was originally one bar, at most two. With this antenna dongle it's almost full power. I've used other TP-link products and they usually work as advertised. I simply plugged the antenna to a USB A port on my laptop and I didn't have to do any setup. My connection and the apps I use are working at normal speed and they are really stable - no lag or timeouts due to poor signal strength anymore. I'll do an update after a couple of months using it.

fixed laptop problem
Laptop wifi went out. The device fixed the problem just fine. Easy to install and signal always good. Does stick out some, so possible problem. Just be careful not to hit the device.

Will it work
Took a while after the disc loaded and it stated to look for the icon on the task bar. No icon. Finally went into search and it showed that it was already connected to the router and computer. Works great.

Worth the money? YES
I've been browsing and tinkering with the idea of purchasing a new internet card for a while. Background information - I built my computer 13 years ago and have been using the same wireless internet card since. a Linksys AE3000 which was top of the line back then. I went from 80 down and 100 up to 280 down and 280+ up.For the price, totally worth the money. I had no issues installing the drivers due to the included CD drive AND the link to download the drivers directly from the site. If you currently have no internet on your PC and purchased this, you can move the driver zip file via usb to your computer and should work flawlessly.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

250 Mbps Up/Down
For context I needed this for a PC that doesn't have wireless while I am troubleshooting my main PC. This other main PC has wifi 6 and was able to get 800+ Mbps Up/Down on my Ubiquiti Wifi 7 AP. Granted that other PC had 2x2 MU-MIMO.However this is to show that about 7 feet from a Wifi7 Access Point uplinked via 1Gbe on a 1Gpbs internet connection I could get no higher than 250Mbps Up/Down on this Wifi5(AC) Adapter. Which for the price is not really that bad. Just beware as the advertised speed it 800+.All I am trying to show is that this adapter has every single chance to prove it's speed on my setup / network, but it seems to be limited to 250 mpbs
