Traditional Pfeffernüsse (Pack of 2)

That title is my opinion of course. I will buy more, I'm eating my stash slowly because the price is high for me and I am a frugal 80 year old.

It was so great upon tasting that first bite! It tasted just like the peppernuts that my mother baked! Well done!

These pfeffernusse were quite tasty. They were of the shape and texture that I remember from childhood. The big surprise for me is that they are made less than 100 miles from where I live now, where many Menonite people live. I'd recommend these; they'd be great with coffee or tea. And since the individual cookies are so small, having 3 feels like decadence.

Although close to what my nana used to make during the holidays, there's a clear missing kick of anise flavor and that back note of pepperiness I was hoping to find. Guess nana really did make the best. And for what these cost, they're just not worth it.

Purchased these as a surprise gift for 3 relatives who love this seasonal cookie. Rave reviews from all recipients. Comments made were that these are authentic, crunchy (not too hard), and very flavorful. My mom liked them so much that she asked me to order more so she can freeze for future indulging. Received in a timely manner and packaging was secure. I'd say I would order these again, but I already did. Very happy with this purchase.

Pfeffernusse is traditional in our family. My mother-in-law would painstakingly make these little biscuits every Christmas. Our recipe is a bit different, as each family has their own unique variety of these little peppernuts. These are the closest I’ve ever found to our family recipe so it was a nice memory for our family on Christmas.

These were way too strong for us. They are pretty pricey for what you get too.
