Very nice to use and I've had so much fun!
What I really like about this mold is that it's true 3D, with so much detail. I used a wood tooth pick and a wood kabob stick to make the lines of the feathers blend as I put the pieces together. I made my first ones for practice. Put magnets in them, for later use options. (1st of 2 pics) I wasn't sure which way the wings were to be put on, so I did one of each. I found I could shape the birds, moving their tails up or down. (Up, I buried a wooden tooth pick in the tail to keep it upright.) I could move their heads, up, down, Even turning them, by taking a little bit of the clay out on the area that I wanted it to bend. Blending went very well. It was always fun and never frustrating. And they are so cute and each have their own character!I've made them to put on a mirror (see photo) in the camper, but you can't see how darn sweet they are looking at themselves! I should have tried to get that photo!Made some for indoor birdhouses. (see photos)I've shown in the photos, before painting and after. The mold does not come with feet. I've added some to a few of the birds. I also knew I wanted to mount the birds, so I buried a nail in the bird, before baking. Then I drilled holes in the branch to place each bird. I also drilled holes in a board, so they could sit while being baked. And I've also drilled a hole in the bird, after it was baked in the upper bird on the birdhouse. That was because I needed to see how it would look best sitting, with the whole project near finished state. So there's flexible options.I LOVE THIS MOLD!You can fill it lightly, to have a thinner bird. Pack it full, to have a chubby bird. It's very forgiving. I've also added a bit more clay on the beak, to have it larger/longer, to show up more. This mold shows NO sign of wear. Really holds up!The downside is...they only had this one size for use with clay. I really would like smaller birds, too. A soap mold wouldn't work, since the clay would get smashed as you took it out. MAYBE you can bake it in the mold? Then it would pop out? But I wouldn't be able to shape each one.I liked painting them unlike a real bird. Each real bird has a different shape beak, tail, etc, so since this mold is just one shape, it looks better having non-realistic birds.I'm sharing many photos, so you can see just how much fun I had! People are impressed that I "made" the birds. But I can't take the credit. This mold is the best! (Although, this is the first time I've worked with a mold and clay) I'm very happy with it and recommend it!

Love this mold!
I am a cake decorator and needed a robin for an order. This is really a perfect mold. Easy, nice size and very detailed. I used it with modeling chocolate and fondant/ gumpaste.

Not well made
One side of the mold has edges sticking up, while the other side dips down. I haven't used it yet, but have quite a bit of experience using silicone molds. I already know this one will be tricky to use. I would not recommend.

Used for art project
I’m an artist and I used these for a three dimensional oil painting. Turned out great. Make sure you press your material into the mold really well to get the details for the face.
