Easy to use - better than screws - adhesive lasts for ages.
I've used these adhesive pads for fire alarms around the house for quite a while. So simple to fit and the adhesive holds for a long time. I haven't needed to replace them yet. Much better than struggling with screws.

Very clever idea no more drilling
Was very easy to install I like the idea of no more drilling even though one of the magnets wasn’t as sticky but it’s really handy and love the idea of how easy it was to hang my heating thermometers on the wall

Useful item
These made fitting my 8 wireless smoke alarms, heat alarm and carbon monoxide alarm a very simple and quick task. The magnetic attraction seems strong and they stuck on the ceilings without any difficulties. Be careful when handling the edges as they are capable of cutting your fingers. I would have no hesitation in using these again.

One has detached from the ceiling
Great product - in theory at least. I installed four fire alarms less than three months ago. Today one detached from the ceiling and fell down. Fortunately, it seems that the alarm survived the fall. I think I am going to revert to tried and tested screws and rawlplugs.

Safer, cleaner and easier
I had 9 smoke and heat alarms to install. I was concerned about the possibility of drilling into live wires above the ceiling and having to put down sheets multiple times to prevent the dust landing all over the floor. The self-adhesive magnetic discs solved both problems and made the task so much easier it probably took less than half the time.

Good idea, but not reliable
To comply with Scottish legislation, we had to install interlinked fire and heat alarms in the house. As we didn't want to drill holes in the ceilings, and because the reviews seemed good, we used those to stick the alarms.It was quick and easy to install.At first the alarms were sticked in the ceilings. After 1 week, one fire alarm fell off which trigered all the alarms.After one month, 2 other alarms fell off.The magnetic part is still stick on the ceilings. In all 3 cases it's the part that is suppose to be sticked on the back of the alarm which unsticks over time.So now we will have to find a way to remove the magnetic parts from the ceilings and drill holes instead 🙄
