I bought this for my Shih-poo she is 10 lbs and a small fit perfect

It looks amazing but the Velcro did give out after a few uses

I have previously purchased two other pet harnesses at big box stores before I saw this one on Amazon. Our pup is small (7 pounds at 5 months old), and won't be much larger when fully grown. Using a regular tape measure, I measured his chest right behind his front legs, which his chest girth was 15" while his neck girth was 8". I followed the chart and ordered the size SMALL, which turned out to be PERFECT. To put the harness on him, I simply laid the harness out for which it has two oblong holes or openings (2-3/4" x 3-3/4") to allow him to step his front paws in. Tucker hardly sits still, so the oversize openings makes it very easy to step him right in with room to spare, and then bring up each end of harness with velcro which overlap (this is your size adjustment). Then, after using the velcro (no straps or thin strips of material to fool with), you then snap the plastic buckles into place. Then, hold the two metal "D" rings together, and then attach the provided leash (or use a retractable leash) and you're ready to go walking! Our pup really seems to like it, I LOVE it as it fits extremely well (adjustable), and is stylish. I've read negative comments on this product, but as far as I'm concerned, the ONLY thing that is even slightly negative would be the PLASTIC snaps that you use after you have velcrod the harness on top of his back. I can see why they claim it is "escape proof" because this harness really fits well, and I believe it will still fit him when he matures due to his breed (Yorkshire Terrier mix). I WILL be buying another one for backup or change out and I HIGHLY recommend this. I didn't even say anything about the collar, leash, or little bell, which I did change out the thin metal ring holding the bell for a thicker one. They are ALL quality products, I just hope it's made in the U.S.A.Last but not least, after walking him, he seemed perfectly content just wearing it around the house, and as he is so small and quiet, the little bell lets you know he's around. Folks, you WILL NOT be disappointed in this product and I am receiving NOTHING for writing this review. This is all about your pet's safety and comfort, and again, I am 99% satisfied (deduct 1% for plastic tabs).

Everything was fine but it doesn't have any bells which would be helpful if you want to know when they wake up and need to be let out.
