I have only had this a couple of months so cannot speak to longevity; however, so far I have loved this tool and it has performed accurately and reliably. I had to cut numerous 2x8s and it was flawless. Have also cut shelf corners on plywood and long cuts on pegboard without issue. It has a powerful moter and the blades that came with it have done just fine. It does have a pretty wide grip if using one hand but I have found it makes me focus a bit more on what I'm doing. Has been outstanding so far and would definitely recommend.

Bought saw to use in renovation of my back deck. The 4 1/2" blade allowed me to easily cut the old deck boards into sections for removal without having to pry them up. This was a real time saver. As I am older the weight of this saw compared to my 7 1/2" saw is much more manageable. The tool is very easy to control as well. The quality of the saw is much better than expected bordering excellent and seems to have plenty of power to cut the materials I used. The safety feature designed to prevent accidental start up is a must have for a saw this size. My next project is laying tile in the kitchen and I will be using the diamond blade to assist.

I purchased this tool for a shed building project. It can cut through stud wood for framing with ease with new blade. 1.5 inches thickness without a problem. It is not too heavy and not too light, very sturdy built. RPM maintains, no crazy sparks and burning smell from motor. One star is gone because it does not cut through 1.75 thickness because of the specification limitation, it is a user concern, not a problem. After all those wood cutting, I exhausted those original Wesco blades and ending up purchasing replacement blade from galaxy pro which one can also find in amazon. Recently I run into a mysterious operational situation, I immediately contact Wesco customer support both via amazon and official web contact in an email describing the concerns, Wesco responses promptly and take the extra miles above and beyond to help me complete my project on time. I think Wesco tool deserves a bravo and an honest review from a carpentry fans and I become a loyal customer for Wesco tools.

I make crafts and wanted a smaller saw than our standard circular saw. This saw is easy to handle, cuts great and handy to have.

I love this saw. It's easy to use and much easier to control than my skill saw. A few years ago my skill saw kicked back and came down on my arm and cut my leg hands off all but 1 inch of skin holding it on. That never would have happened with this saw. Live and learn.

I'm a Female and have used Circular, Miter Saws and Scroll and Jigsaws for over 30yrs. This particular has No way of holding onto the top of the saw like my regular circular saw. You have to be extremely careful with this one while using it, especially if it kicks back. They need to put a little safety part on top to hold on to it especially during a kick back. Other than that, it has a lot of power and cuts well. Please fix the handling of it tho!!
