Yes, Mankai is gluten free. It is a vegetable, a leafy green, and its protein does not include any gluten.

Q: Is it pesticide-free organic?

Mankai is grown without use of pesticides or herbicides and is non-GMO. It's as wholesome as it gets yet cannot be certified organic. Current regulations require that a plant be grown in soil to be certified organic. Mankai is an aquatic plant that floats on top of water and thus does not need soil. Hope the organic regulations change in the future.

Mankai has a Badatz Hechsher from the Israeli Negev division who is also the one supervising the growing and packaging process.
