BEST Pan - easy clean, no rivets inside, long lasting
Is a pan non-stick if it has rivets attaching the handle? Not in my opinion. Your eggs stick to those rivets and make the pan hard to clean, defeating the whole purpose. However scanpan attaches the handle, it is the correct way, since it results in a truly non-stick cooking surface. Eggs don't stick to the inside or the outside, resulting in super-easy clean up, inside and out. [One year later: still true. I clean the pan while it is still hot, just after use, and before I sit down to eat. It takes seconds.] I only use this for eggs, and I don't let it get too hot. If it gets too hot, I suspect the coating breaks down into cancer-causing chemicals, which end up in me. So this pan is eggs-only. [One year later: "eggs-only" was my intent, but in truth it gets used for everything. The pan is still going strong, with nonstick coating intact and effective. As far as the big "C," no conclusive evidence yet. Looks like I was either being clever, or fixated on cancer. ] My wife, a wiser person, uses a ceramic pan from France - Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 2-1/4-Quart Saucier Pan, Caribbean . It is ceramic inside and out. It comes closer to non-stick than our other pans, but eggs still stick. Also, it is deeper than the Scanpan, but it is the shallowest pan with ceramic inside and out. My wife says she will trade some clean-up time for cancer any day. [One year later: she uses the scan pan. Haven't seen the ceramic thing in ages.] I am still foolishly (perhaps dangerously) attached to my Scanpan. Egg cleanup is magically easy! Of course, to find out if it was the right choice, we shall have to wait for the autopsy. [One year later: The honeymoon continues. This is THE pan; every cook should have one.]

Perfect pan for omelet. The nonstick surface is great but always add some oil or butter to preserve and ensure nonstick surface.

Good Product
This is my third Scanpan. Previously I purchased 10-1/4 inch frying pan and square grill pan They have been working great; even heating, non-stick and easy cleaning. But I noticed the surface is easily scratched by hard utensils (I know it's my bad!) and I have been careful since then. Too bad that I cannot cook fried rice with them. Anyway, I recently noticed that a small part of the 10-1/4 inch pan's rim (most frequently used) was slightly bended. What have I done??? But still I am purchasing another Scanpan via Amazon. I just like feeling of the use, the look, the flatness and thickness the bottom of the Scanpan. Still, to be honest, I don't have any intention to purchase one at the regular price. To me, it does not worth $100. By the way, the square grill pan makes great golden pancakes! (no oil or fat should not be used for pancakes)

Works great. Is well made and is easy to clean especially because there are no rivets inside the pan for food to get stuck around. I definitely recommend buying this pan

Nonstick and no toxic coating!

Great non-stick without teflon or other coatings, too soon to rate durability but loving it so far
It's like something out of an infomercial - I can fry an egg in here without oil and wipe the pan clean with a paper towel. I like the no-rivet handle because my pans with riveted handles always seem to get food stuck on the rivets inside the edge of the pan. The description says metal utensils are OK, but I'm sticking with plastic. My wife if pretty tough on my cookware and there are a couple of very small scratches that I'd guess were from her cutting something in the pan with one of my my Wusthof knives or something like that. Gentle use of metal is probably OK, but why not just use plastic or silicone? The pan heats very evenly, especially for its light weight. There is an aluminum disk on the bottom of the pan for heat distribution. Oven safe to 500 degrees is a plus too. I plan to buy another in a larger diameter.

Non-stick Surface is Gone
I bought this pan in November 2014. The non-stick surface was wonderful for about 8 months. Now it is gone and completely useless. In fact some food particles are not coming out of the surface, especially eggs. At least an iron skillet can be cleaned even if you have to use steel wool to do it. And no, I didn't do that to this pan. For the cost - almost $100.00 - this is not acceptable. I'm with many others. The claims about non-stick have not held up for me.

Hasta el momento, perfecta después de varios usos. Compré la pequeña de 20 cm, y para tortillas de dos o tres huevos va estupendamente, sin que se pegue nada absolutamente, incluso sin añadirle ni una gota de aceite. Ideal para tortillas ya que a diferencia de otras sartenes donde el diámetro de la parte superior difiere mucho en tamaño al diámetro de la base, en esta no sucede esto. Además, por otro lado, de ser muy ligera. Cierto es que en principio parece algo cara en comparación a otras del mismo tipo, pero la valoración definitiva sobre esta compra tendré que sacarla a largo plazo y con el paso del tiempo y los usos, para lo cual, volvería a hacer otro comentario de ser necesario. Hasta entonces, muy satisfecho, y esperando que dure en el tiempo, al menos bastante más que otras que he tenido de cerámica mucho más baratas, que por el precio no sería para menos, y eso también, dándole el cuidado y trato necesario, (en mi caso la limpio exclusivamente con una bayeta húmeda, en ocasiones, o una hoja de papel de cocina en otras, o en ambas. Aunque la verdad es que ciertamente tampoco necesita nada más), espero no tener que volver a hacer otro comentario rectificando nada de lo dicho.

The pan is exactly as I had hoped - I've been wanting a ScanPan for my morning omelettes since my roommate ruined the finish on my last ceramic pan. This is the perfect size for a personal omelette. So far it works beautifully; cooking is even and the omelette slides gracefully out of the pan onto my plate! I wash it up immediately with a little warm soapy water and it's ready to go for the next day. I'm going to see how the finish holds up and may start replacing my other pans with ScanPans.

Do I like Scanpan. This is my second set of pots and fry pans. Last set lasted me about 17 or 18 years. Nothing burns or sticks in the bottom of them.

Yes, this is truly non stick. No oil needed for eggs (although I do use a bit). Performs fantastically. BUT - let's see over time how does the non stick hold. I do own Scanpan 32cm CTX which lost most of its non stick coating, but is still OK. The scanpan 1.8l CTX saucepan is catastrophic - the eggs literally burn into them, I've never seen such a bad performance. So for now 5/5, but the ultimate test of non sticks is time - so far all my Scanpans have disappointed after 2years.
