Made from 100% Phenolic material this gasket will not transfer heat, will not blow out, and will not warp or deform unlike other hard plastic thermal spacers. These spacers greatly reduce heat transfer from the engine to the intake manifold reducing heat soak and increasing intake air density. While installation is very time consuming the resulting cooler inlet temperatures and reduced manifold heatsoak are well worth the time. Sold as a pair.
