Our plastic handle on the black tank broke so I upgraded both tanks with 2 of these. Would have been nice to have one that was black, but figured the upgrade to aluminum from plastic was worth it. Easy to install and works great.

This is a good product.. it doesn't break.. wish it was bigger so it wouldn't hurt my hand when I pull on it.

Had a tab break off of one handle when dumping tanks a while back which prompted a temporary repair and then I found these and bought two. These metal handles should be standard equipment. I did buy the complete valves with metal handles, along with two of these handles as backups. Definitely a much better handle than the plastic ones. Easy installation. I replaced the handles when dumping tanks since the valve has to be open to install the handle so you can get pliers on the stem to keep it from rotating when removing and installing the handles. Only complaint is the different color handles available for the valves in plastic is not available with the metal handles. Having a black and silver handle would be nice to clearly identify black and grey tank valves. Otherwise, very happy.

A lot better than those original plastic ones

It was very cold and we had a poopscicle in our black tank drain pipe. The Bladex plastic handle started breaking and I started looking into replacing the entire mechanism. Luckily you don't have you -- just the handle itself is replaceable and you should never replace it with the same plastic one. Buy this metal one now, it's the best we got.To remove, the metal is threaded but tricky to hold onto without slipping. A rag and adjustable pliers or some combination there of will work.

Replacement for lost drain gate.

I’ve replaced the handles on my trailer’s sewer dumps 3 times. They get brittle and snap off with age. I am trying this metal handle in hopes that it will last longer. It does fit perfectly on the rod that is attached to the valve. If it works, I’ll be replacing the other 2 valves.

I bought this to replace my UV degraded and broken Valterra plastic grey water valve handle. At 6cad (as an add on) I bought two to replace the black water as well. I spray painted the one for black water valve black and left the grey water one the silver aluminum. As it was a metal to metal attachment to the valve rod and not as tight as the plastic handle I added some thread locker on so it would not fall off with road vibrations. I also purchased a new black plastic one (about 3cad as add on) just in case but upon seeing the metal version I decided to just go with that. The plastic one will go in the spare box.

It does what it is supposed to do but being plastic will likely eventually fail as the original did. My advice keep a spare.
