I highly suspect the positive reviews were when the price was lower, because this just isn’t good quality for $60+. There are number of issues, but I’ll start with the pros...Pros:1. It’s bright when the light isn’t colored. It will light up the entire room.2. It has a variety of colors and a dimmer.Cons:1. Colors aren’t bright. You can’t see when a color is on.2. Installation is incredibly difficult. It should have 2 LONG hot and neutral wires, like every other light. Instead it has a connection box, with 1 inch of wire. It’s impossible to install like that. I added extension wires based on another comment. If I didn’t read that I would have returned it.3. Wi-fi connection has no range. Every other device can reach it from this location, but not the light without moving the router.4. Doesn’t stay connected. Every time I open the app the light has to be reconnected, which takes 5-10 minutes because of issue #3.It’s a $20 gimmick light, charging $60+. My advice, take your chances with a high rated competitor.

Update 12.31: Tried to contact the seller about the issues I've been having with the light and no one is answering either the phone or emails. Very Dissapointed. Definitely returning Fixture. Zero Stars if I could.I like the way the light can be controlled by Google. Not very satisfied with with the fact that the light does not truly turn off. It keeps a blue hue that flickers on and of. Also the install was very difficult, as the bracket provided does not fit a standard fixture housing and wiring.

I ordered three of these lights, and one went bad after about a month. It appears the blue part of the light no longer works. For example, in the picture I set the color to blue through the phone app, however, you can see the pinkish cast of the light on the white doors.I have been back and forth with the seller over the past two months and they are telling me I am not using the light properly. I am very frustrated with the service. It's a shame because I really do like the light. It is slim, bright, and good-looking.I personally don't think it was easy to install - due to the slimness of the light, trying to get the screwdriver in there to tighten the screws that lock the light on the metal attachment is pretty challenging, especially if you have largish hands.It's also not that cheap - there are cheaper alternatives. Given that one of three did not work more than a month, and the difficulty of dealing with the seller, I would NOT recommend purchasing this one, instead look for something cheaper.My seller is coming up as Martinfer in the email exchanges, however, they go by different names here.

The media could not be loaded.  I’ll start off by saying that my son loves his ceiling light. However, it took me forever trying to install it! (...with lots of cursing)There are only 2 wires so that’s the simple part. But the connection box on the light has such a short lead that it was so hard to install my ceiling wires into each slot AND then screw to tighten the hold on the wires...all the while trying to hold the light. I also had to use electrical tape around each wire connection to make sure they stayed secure in the slots. I seriously almost gave up several times and threw several F-bombs (luckily my son was at his dad’s). I wish the connection box was like the previous LED ceiling light I had installed, which just had a slot that pinched each wire; so simple. But my son wanted an RGB ceiling light.....As far as app connectivity goes, every once in a while, the light drops the connection to our phones. So I turn the wall switch on/off 3x in a row, the light starts to blink, have the app open, stand on my son’s bed to hold my phone close to the light, and connection is restored.The app is easy to use. There are “scenes” for automated changing lights that you can edit (colors, speed, etc). You can adjust color and brightness. Whatever color or theme the light is set to when we turn off the light at the wall switch, it’s the color/theme when we turn on the light at the wall switch. The wall switch has to be “on” in order to control the light via the app. You can have the app on more than one phone to control the light...and you can add more lights. Since I have the app on my phone too, I sometimes change the light while my son is gaming just for the fun of it. Then I hear, “Mom!!” LOL.
