We used this transparent dressing (the 8" X 5.47 yards) to cover my husband's dialysis tunnel catheter site on his chest, and it was a game changer for allowing him to shower safely without worrying about getting it wet. Waterproof & Reliable: It sticks securely and keeps the area completely dry, even with full showers. The adhesive holds well without peeling prematurely. We placed a folded piece of paper towel so that it would not stick directly to the dialysis catheter dressing, but then the edges stuck securely to his skin providing a great barrier. Size & Coverage: The 8" width provided plenty of material, allowing us to cut exactly the size that we needed. We just cut to the length that we needed. Ease of Use & Comfort: It's easy to apply and remove without irritating the skin. The transparent design also allowed us to monitor the site without removing the dressing, which was incredibly helpful. Value & Quality: For anyone needing reliable, waterproof protection for medical lines or similar uses, this dressing is high-quality and excellent value. I would recommend for anyone that needs a safe waterproof solution - especially for dialysis central lines, or similar medical needs.

This works great! I like that it’s able to be cut to any size. It sticks well, yet not TOO well that it doesn’t remove easily.)** I prefer using this instead of tape or Band-Aids for that reason alone — it’s wonderful for sensitive areas of the skin. I’ve experienced no adverse reactions to the adhesive. It holds up well in the shower but, sometimes, NOT through excessive body heat over the course of the day. (**I’ve noticed that it’ll melt to/stick to the skin and somewhat disintegrate — making it difficult to remove later. Rubbing alcohol seems to break-up the adhesive and help it to detach from the skin at that point.) I DO find it cumbersome to un-peel and apply, though. Unless you have good eyesight, lots of patience and a longer fingernail to use in separating the plastic/vinyl layers, it’s nearly impossible to get to the flimsy, ‘sticky’ layer! It DOES take lots of practice to get the hang of and I would suggest practicing with this stuff BEFORE its usage becomes necessary around a wound. For even somewhat difficult-to-reach areas, another pair of hands are highly recommended. As it is my first time ever using this stuff (and my first few applications bombed) and there were no clear directions included with the roll, I asked fellow Amazon shoppers to offer some guidance… Basically, ‘trial-and-error’ and ‘patience/practice’ were the responses I received. However, the best advice offered was to remove the white layer FIRST, apply the adhesive side to the wound or bandage, THEN peel-off the clear layer. That tip alone made it so much easier to do! UPDATE : I have finally gotten the hang of this stuff and must say: it works great and is so versatile! I only used it as a full bandage cover for about a week. After that, I cut off 2” strips and then cut those in half. I used the smaller pieces to secure each side of my padded wound cover (made my own band-aid). They had enough ‘sticky’ to keep the gauze pad secured for over 24 hours. Unlike adhesive bandages and medical tape, this caused no adverse skin reactions on my sensitive skin. (Oftentimes, I’d wind up with a WORSE condition than the one I was covering if I used those things.) Because of its versatility, I will be buying different sizes to keep in my first-aid kits! Suggestion, though: don’t do as I did and trim ALL of your fingernails short! While you’re needing to use this film, keep at least ONE peeling fingernail longer for easier application.

My X husband, had his bladder removed about two years ago. At moffitt here in Tampa. Dr Philippe SPiess . Urology.-oncology.. I started ordering this tape about three months after he had surgery, The never with supplies for that type of surgery is my opinion no good. I found this tape on Amazon. It works wonderfully.. I also ordered your drainage bag from Amazon. For the overnight use for my ex-husband.. I get those, from Amazon usually overnight.

Uddate below: Ordered this a year ago and it was great. Now I bought the same roll and it doesn't even stick. I can feel it's way thinner. As always companies trying to save a buck by lowering quality. Will not buy again from this company! Update: Well, maybe it's not as bad as I first thought. It's possible the first part of the roll might have had some issue. I have been using it now twice a week for a few weeks and it works just fine. Still feels thinner than before, but works.

Very good quality, easy to use and truly waterproof. This tape kept my incision dry during showers and swimming. It didn’t roll or come off until I removed it. Highly recommend this product

This stuff is MAGICAL!!! I recently got a prescription that comes in a patch that is suppose to stay on for a week and then be changed out. It is week 2 and neither of the patches managed to stay on for more than 24 hours. This adhesive dressing was a lifesaver. I cut a piece big enough to extend an inch or so around the patch and applied it over the patch to hold it in place. I messed up the first piece and then got the hang of it and it all went smoothy after that. The dressing stayed in place the rest of the week, no peeling, no coming off, no ripping. It was amazing!! By the end of the week, the corner I had touched when I put it on started to come up, just the tiniest bit, but the rest of it stayed firmly in place. To understand how fabulous it is, let me add that I work a messy, sweaty job. I shower before work, sweat at work, come home and shower again. This stuff stands up to all that. 10/10 recommend without reservation.

Mixed feelings about this product. Hard to use and easily stuck/crumpled up when trying to apply it, had to try several times. However, when it it was applied, it worked perfectly. I loved the different sizes you could order

This tape is a lifesaver. Don’t think, buy it! I have to wear a heart monitor, AGAIN!! They never stay on and I hate having to constantly hold them when I move or bend, and keeping them dry in the shower is impossible. I’ve had to restart heart monitor studies all over again due to poor contact because the monitor won’t stay adhered properly. I’ve tried every kind of tape known to man and nothing works, UNTIL, I discovered this life saving tape!!! This tape is so easy to use and it covers the whole monitor, the side tapes and the monitor itself with ease. No more worrying about the monitor falling off, or getting wet in the shower, or the stupid thing not adhering simply due to normal perspiration. I don’t know about you, but I have not yet mastered the art of not perspiring for two weeks so the monitor won’t fall off, in 80 degree weather. Covering the monitor with this fabulous tape keeps it on and no more worries. The quality is fabulous, the amount is abundant, the cost is great and shipping is lightning speed. What’s not to love? So go ahead, but with confidence!!!
