Great for Moving Large Sheets of Wood, Gypsum, and other bulky sheets.
I purchased these so I could move large sheets of wood, gypsum board, foam, etcetera by myself with ease. They certainly did the trick. The design, and the materials these are made of, ensure a long-lasting, great performing product. I have absolutely no complaints. I have tried knock-offs that others have purchased and they just don't work as well. With the Gorilla Gripper, I could single-handedly move bulky items that would have normally taken two people to move - an important feature now that the last of my children have moved away (there went my free labor!).CONCLUSION. There are many similar products out there, but none I have tried are as good as the original Gorilla Gripper. Knock offs work like knock offs usually do - not great. Pay a little more and get these Gorilla Grippers. You will be glad you did.

Makes me feel like a hulk of a man.
I recently bought, loaded, unloaded, and then re-stacked 24 sheets of 3/4 plywood... By myself. I used this gorilla grip for every piece, and it was a real back saver. It would be a bargain at twice the price. Super heavy duty and high quality. The grips even work perfectly when covered in sawdust

Amazing
This really does what it says it does. I carried a piece of plywood 5'x7' by myself, and I'm only 5'5". Heavy, cumbersome, awkward items can be managed with this clamp. Amazing.

This a beautiful example of real ingenuity
This a beautiful example of real ingenuity. Simple, effective, elegant solution for everyday problem which we did not even realize is a problem... until this solution has arrived.I am not sure if it is allowed to mention price in an Amazon review... but I'll try. I purchased this for about half-of-hundred baks. And, honestly, I still think this is overpriced, for a simple gadget like this. Inventors should, in this case, make their honestly earned profit from volume sales, not form overpricing. Especially considering that they can not satisfy the demand. Charging hundred baks for this... guys, your are going to deal with really bad karma. So, the overpricing is the only reason I took off one star. Otherwise, it's a perfect product, infinitely useful for anyone who lifts/transports/handles plywood or sheetrock or whatever big and flat.

Works Just Fine!!!
The Gorilla Gripper is an EXCELLENT tool. I moved 22 sheets of 1/2 inch 4x8 drywall and a 5/8 inch sheet of 4x8 plywood from my garage down to my basement without issue. A heavy, sturdy tool that works as intended. I am also impressed with the packaging of the product. Quality all the way! I'm a middle aged man and I needed this. IMO the $40 cost in nothing compared to a trip to the ER.

A must-have if you work with sheet goods!
While it's always best to have a human helper to move sheet goods, this tool enables you to pull and lift them by yourself. I even take mine to the lumber store when I plan to get plywood. It's super easy to use and is a real arm and back saver. I wish I had bought one years ago!

A very impressive way to lift and carry sheet stock
I haven't used it much more than picking up a few full and partial sheets of 3/4 birch cabinet ply and some 5 X 5 sheets of Baltic Birch ply with it just to see how well it works, but so far it is exceeding my expectations. It's amazing how well it grips the sheets. Using it on full sheets of Baltic Birch ply is a little more difficult for me because of the 5' sheet size. I'm a little too short to lift the sheet with the Gorilla Gripper and carry the sheet comfortably. I guess I need longer legs for this. I have no problem when using it on the standard 4' X 8' sheets.

Works perfectly for 1/2 drywall
I use this to move drywall around my basement as I work on different areas. It works perfectly well for 1 person. A couple of things; take the time to mark the centre of the edge you’re lifting as this makes it easier to lift; don’t use it on stairs (I just slide them down on the edge); be very careful with those bottom-of-the-pallet sheets that have damage as this will just crack them more (I use a hook lifter from the bottom for those). Recommended, I’d definitely buy again.

Back saver
We purchased the grabber for hauling drywall (1/2" and 5/5") and plywood sheets and it works like a charm without damaging any of the panels. Very well made and will last a long time.

Great if working solo, even better if you have two people/two grippers
I had to move 10 sheets of 5/8" drywall by myself and couldn't justify the cost of a proper drywall cart given how few times I would ever need to move drywall. I figured that for the price it would be worth trying the Gorilla Gripper, and it worked perfectly for me.Couple of things:a) make sure that you position the Gripper at the balance point along the length of the drywall so you don't put undue pressure on your wrist.b) bend your knees, and get your shoulder right up against the drywall, and then push your knees straight, thereby letting your knees do the lifting - not your shoulder or wrist. You can carry drywall a surprisingly long distance or large number of sheets if you're in the correct anatomical position.c) Make sure the edge you clamp the Gripper on is sound and not crumbled.

Haven't used much yet but very handy.
I have only given this 4 stars simply because it has barely been used yet. However, the one time (so far but the future holds many, many more times - renos!) that my husband did use this, he was very pleased with how it handled. He agreed that it takes a lot of the bull work out of trying to manhandle sheets of plywood/drywall by yourself by hand! So far we are both very pleased with it.

A must have for moving heavy sheet goods by yourself
I used the gorilla gripper to move twenty sheets of 5/8 TypeX drywall by myself during a renovation. At 70lb per sheet, it’s impossible to move by yourself with no additional tools. This thing saved my back. It’s well built and worth every penny.
