Fantastic high Fidelity speakers at a great price. My only complaint was that the holes in the side of my boat were about an eighth of an inch too small for these speakers. So it took me a long time to file away and enlarge my speaker hole. That probably was the fault of the boat manufacturer and not of the speakers. But it would’ve been nice. Had they been just a little bit an hour to accommodate different tolerances. But they look great and they sound great so I give them five stars.

Excellent Speakers! I have a marine Pyle 400 watt amplifier (4x100). I'm not sure of the RMS but I'm sure it's not too high seeing this is a very inexpensive amplifier and not documented. Nevertheless these speaker are just what I wanted for my 20 foot boat. I got a .flac file and put my head unit to 75% volume while gain was set to 0 on the amp. I just eased the gain up until it started to break up and then backed the gain off a tad after that; easy peasy! You can't go wrong with these speakers, very heavy magnet, they produce good highs and lows for a 2-way speaker Oh and always use 16 gauge shielded wire to your speakers with clean secure connections

When a company makes opening their product an experience, you know they care about details. I installed them in relatively small custom boxes at the back of the boat. I paired them with a 50W x 2 amp and a powered deck delivering 22W per channel. WOW. I was blown away at the clarity and punch the bass delivers from these smaller speakers. I wont be buying an additional subwoofer. The above reviews were correct. Very glad I didn't opt for the $50 replacement speakers I was considering.

"I installed these Skar Audio SK65M coaxial speakers and the difference is night and day. The clarity in the mids and highs is outstanding, even at high volumes. They feel very well-built and sturdy. For the price, you honestly can't find a better balance of performance and quality. If you want to upgrade your audio system, these are a fantastic choice!"

so I had to carve out a bigger opening when replacing my Kenwood speakers but well worth the time and effort! Sound great! as for the star rating I would give them a 6 if I could.
