Comfortable right away. Runs narrow.

The media could not be loaded. I read a lot of reviews and was scared when everyone wrote they were to stiff. But they are hiking shoes so they should have a degree of stiffness for support. I thought they are comfortable, they provide the perfect amountof support and have a lot of cushion. They are waterproof and are a great price. They are snug but not tight enough that I would need a bigger size.

I've worn this brand for a number of years. They have changes the design of the hiking shoe, The toe box is a bit narrower than before. The arch insert is uncomfortable for me. Due to the narrower toe box, I did have to size up a half a size and with a change of the inserts the shoe is very comfortable. I have flatter and narrow feet and this SPECIFIC style from Keene runs narrower in general. It's the only hiking shoe I can wear from Keene since all others are far too wide for my narrow foot. Even though I have a narrow foot I really like shoes, sneakers, boots with a wider toe box otherwise I find my toes jam or rub in the shoe. Especially hiking down inclines! My toes are very long and my second toe extends more than my big toe and when you combine that with a narrow foot...I always have issues with hiking shoe fit!! I have always liked the breathability of this hiking shoe although it is waterproof so expect some sweating of your foot. My major negative is the hiking shoe fabric on the outside deteriorates quickly and forms holes that grow and compromise the waterproofing. It's a big problem and bummer! hiking shoes are expensive. When I say quickly ...I mean months with not a ton of use. It's definitely a negative and my only hope is that they have improved the material because I know I am not the only person with this complaint. I have tried other brands of hiking shoes and unfortunately I don't love the fit. Out of the box, no break in period and comfort are essential for hiking and that is why I come back to this style/brand. 4 stars because I did need to replace the inserts and I had to size up due to the toe box being narrower. As far as durability...we will see if the fabric holds up.

I am so disappointed in these shoes! Instead of being comfortable, the toe box of these shoes has too low of a profile and presses down on my toes. The tops of my toes are soon aching and I can’t wait to take them off. I had even ordered a half size larger than my normal size, but the toe box is just too tight - not too narrow, just too low. Plus these shoes are so heavy! I was looking for a shoe for traveling, that would be comfortable and handle rain well, but these are definitely not it. For me these shoes were a waste of money.

The shoe is coming apart at the sole and on top of the shoe. I've had the shoes 6 months or so and haven't used them everyday. I would not buy again..

Keen boots are absolutely the best! I had ankle surgery about 10 years ago and it's difficult to find boots that don't bother my incisions/scars. I can always rely on Keen to find something that works! These boots come in a cute "feminine" color without being too "flashy". I wear them to mow the lawn and go to local fairs. They grip well on my back hill and I don't slip now. Material holds up well and it's easy to clean the "grass stains" off with a wipe. Seem "waterproof" enough for my purposes.

The shoes are stiff at first, I definitely had to break them in. But overall they run true to size and are comfortable. I am impressed by the quality, they are well made. Similar shoes by other companies are more expensive - these have similar or better quality for a very reasonable price. I like that Keen makes a lot of their shoes right here in USA. Overall, great shoes

These shoes were rather clunky and ran small. I returned them and found a more satisfying waterproof hiking shoe - lighter, more flexible, and still waterproof - at LLBean.

TLDR: Super comfortable from day one. Value for money as long lasting. Sized up half a size for comfort when walking longer distances. Would buy again (and have).This pair is a the second pair I’ve bought. The first were black/ dark grey and lasted three years before I finally wore through the sole.I wore them for the walk to work the first day after receiving them (with wool hiking socks) and they’ve been super comfortable just as the first pair were. Worn them for dog walks over uneven terrains and no problems.I normally wear a 6 (uk) but both times sized up to a 6.5. My feet lean more towards wide than normal but are not extremely wide. I have plenty of room and a nice sized toe box to wiggle my toes.Previous identical pair - I’ve worn them in absolute downpours and my feet stayed dry. I’ve worn this new pair in heavy rain and my feet were dry, but haven’t experienced downpours in them yet - give it a week and I’m sure that will change!The design has the rather odd effect of making me feel like my shoes are on the wrong feet! Comfort wise they are fine, but as I look down on them from above they just look odd. I didn’t notice that at all with the black ones. It doesn’t bother me too much, I bought for comfort and long life not looks.Oh and lastly… the laces, which I thought would break in a couple of weeks, lasted the entire life of the previous shoes.Very happy with them.Would recommend.Would buy again.
