There is no lining, so your specs rattle around inside and potentially get scratched. I guess you could wrap glasses in a cleaning cloth first... Good protection from getting crushed, tho.

I bought these for safety glasses, and they work great for this purpose. It was important to me that they were clear, so I can be sure they aren't empty when I am grabbing a pair to go. They have an unusual ratchet-type closure that adjusts to the size of the glasses; it's kind of cool, and I have no problem with it.

These open and close oddly, not the easiest latch. but huge enough for those sporty goggly type shades. u can sort of see what's in it, easier than black cases. translucent not clear.

Works great... didn't find any problems with opening or closing case as other reviewer mentioned
