Decent case for the price
The protector seems like it would do a fair job of protecting it from your average drop. However, there's no screen protector. So, there's always a risk that you'll scuff the screen if it falls on that side. I know it has gorilla glass but that's not going to protect it from asphalt, concrete or anything similarly rough/hard.I wouldn't call it bulky but it's not so super thin that it's just a colored shell. It's just barely thick enough that it should absorb the impact of your average 6 foot fall.It takes a little effort to squeeze the tablet into it but it shouldn't be too much trouble.Pair it with a decent screen protector and your Nexus 7 should be safe from every day wear and tear. Though, if you're dropping your tablet on a regular basis, you might eventually have to replace the protector. The kick stand is a bit flimsy. I wouldn't rely on it too much but it's still more than I would expect from this price range. My mom has paid like $30 for a similar quality protector for her Verizon phone. So, considering the price, I would say this is a pretty good deal.My only real complaint is they should offer better shipping options. It took so long to arrive with no tracking updates that I thought it had been lost in the mail. Even the seller thought it had gotten lost in the mail. Though, it did eventually show up. I always choose UPS because nothing else has proven reliable in my area but UPS wasn't an option.

Pretty good, except charging is a problem while vertical on the stand.
This case seems to be well built, and it looks nice. The monitor stand could be a bit better - tapping at the top of the screen can cause it to jump a little bit when vertical. It is also very hard to get the plastic case on right - the fit is very tight over the rubber - but once on, that tight fit means it isn't going to come out. But, that's all really minor stuff.A more significant problem is charging while on the stand - you can't do it with the tablet in the vertical position. The bottom of the tablet ends up resting on your charging cable end, rather than the base of the stand. This is unstable and not good for the charging cable. To get around this, put the tablet sideways and the stand works, as does the charging. The way the case is built, you cannot flip it to have the charger on top - the stand doesn't work then. The only solution for charging on a stand is to put it on another stand.

Nice tablet holder with slight modification
Really pleased with this tablet holder. Here's what I like: * fits my 2nd Gen Nexus 7 perfectly and easily * rubber-like corners should help protect better than other cases against accidental drops * since it's part hard-plastic and rubber it's not annoying thick or heavy all around * can access the drop-down menu easily even in landscape mode * even has a kickstandReason for the 4 stars is the kickstand. Feels like thin flimsy plastic that can be easily broken accidentally. Also, the kickstand sticks badly. I have longer fingernails and I'm afraid I'll break my nails trying to get the stand out each time. HOWEVER...I pulled out a little nail file and filed the nub(s)/corner(s) of the kickstand that sticks to the base and problem solved! Don't file too much, little at a time, and test it as you go otherwise your kickstand may never stay closed even when not in use.

Offers the desired protection at a great price
I bought this for my roommate because he's always misplacing things. Usually these things end up falling down inside the recliners to the floor. The Nexus is too important to be frequently falling and hitting the floor. His favorite color is red so the red corners were perfect.I'd never put on protective cases onto any device... mainly because I've never felt the need for my devices. So putting this on was a new experience for me. The case fit tightly and took enough effort that it made me feel that it would always be there doing the job it was intended to do... protect the Nexus. I figured out it was easiest to insert the side with the power button in first. It took a bit of force to squeeze the case into place while applying pressure to the other edge of the case to give more breathing room. Once the case was on, I had to massage the soft part until it was on completely. That took just a couple minutes more. We're very glad to have this case on the Nexus. The extra thickness and the rubbery texture has made it more difficult to fall down inside the recliners too. He's dropped the Nexus a few times since and we sigh a relief that it's protected from damage.

Great case and such a low cost.
This was replacing a folio style case I had been using previously. I was also using ghost armor, but when I switched to this case, I also installed a glass screen protector as well. The TPU material is just a hair on the softer side, and I wish it was a little more stiff towards the corners, but it does the job and I'm quite happy with it. The stand folds flat completely so when you lay the tablet down, it does not rock under pressure if you are using it. I have seen others complain the the stand is flimsy, and while it might be compared to an otterbox stand, I've had no issues with mine and I've just taken caution in opening and using the stand. All cutouts for connectors and camera are perfect. It's an excellent case at such a low price point. Combined with a glass cover, this tablet feels well protected.

Perfect fit for my Nexus 7 2013 model. Worth $30... paid 1/3 of that.
Fit the Nexus 7 2013 model perfectly!I didn't expect such a quality case for this price.I had the google case, actually had two of them, both broke in the same way. I got really tired of it being lose.So I wanted to find a new one. $10, can't go wrong. So many people on here saying it doesn't fit, they have the wrong Nexus 7. These reviews should be removed. This case fits perfectly, and seems sturdy. Just what I wanted.I got what I expected. I don't get why people are subtracting one star for something they knew they weren't getting (screen protectors) that they'd get from a $60-130 case. Seriously, whats wrong with you people. You knew it didn't come with a screen protector, nor is it fully water proof. It's $10!This is a good case.Kickstand is difficult to pop out, may need to adjust the nubs where it clips in. But I've never used a kickstand.
