*** Actual review- I paid FULL PRICE***
A very high quality beard comb, made excellent craftsmanship. The "axe blade" curve of the comb, really makes a difference in the way it passes evenly through your beard. I personally love the tooth size option for my beard - and although many people will end up mostly using one or the other - if this is your first beard comb, you'll benefit by buying one that gives you the choice, instead of buying one style and finding you needed the other. Unlike other reviewers, I actually get use of the small end combs- although only for my moustache. The wood itself is very fragrant and pleasant, and if you use oils or balms, it will absorb the scent of the product you use as well. Being made is wood, it does not produce any extra static either. It is a very sturdy comb, that I have no fear of breaking in my pocket. It comes in a very nice display box, and looks very classy on the bathroom shelf.. Although if I had my choice, I would rather have a travel sleeve, or case - vs- the display box. It is definitely on the high end cost wise, but personally, I always opt to spend a bit more, on a one time purchase of a quality product, than to buy several cheap items that end up being unhappy with - only to but the quality product in the end. I hope this helps!

If you're looking for Awesome, you've found it
I absolutely love this comb! Aside from that, the packaging is extremely nice and even if you get the box from Amazon after a sweaty, blue-collar day with no lunch and 3 hours of overtime, the moment you open the Rocky Mountain Barber Company Comb box, you're immediately feel as though you're transported to a time when gentleman were gentleman; you feel decked out in a clean 3 piece suit with an Eldredge knot in your tie in live jazz venue with whatever whiskey you prefer and a handmade cigar (if you drink and/or smoke, otherwise, you still feel extra dapper and debonair, but hey, you've got a beard, you should feel that anyway. ) Now, the comb a.k.a. The Primary Tool of Olympus, it's finely crafted and exceptionally awesome. I won't describe it in great detail because you've likely read it in the description, so I'll summarize simply and say that it works almost effortlessly. The teeth on either side, fine or slightly spaced, glide through your beard, especially if you've applied whatever balm or oil you use, and it spreads it uniformly and even gets slightly coated by it for the next time you have to comb it. It has a fresh and light sandalwood scent (because it's a sandalwood comb, soooo YEEEEAAAHHH!) that will leave you with a hint of lumberjack that will give you a G.I. Joe-esque, cooler-and-more-muscular-than-the-Brawny-paper-towel-guy feeling, and if you already feel that way? you might ask, well, it will heighten it and jack it up to level 9,000!!! I normally trim my beard, but with cold weather and No Shave November coming, I've been letting the mane grow for about 2 months, which isn't a long time, but I'm (un)fortunate (depends on personal preference if you're like me, but I prefer it) enough to have thick, coarse, yet strong and soft hair. Literally, my beard hair is basically like fishing line or black thread and I stand by this comb because it works!! **this is a real review from a real buyer that paid for this comb 100%. It keeps the beard looking tidy and helps me address scraggily and fly-away hairs more easily.
I have had no prior experience with beard care products, but I let my beard go a bit this winter and decided to try and get it under control versus trimming it short again. I picked up their beard brush and one of their beard balms. I was very happy with both products and decided to add this comb for good measure. I tend to take a quick pass through with the 1mm side in the mornings after I have applied the beard balm and used the brush. It keeps the beard looking tidy and helps me address scraggily and fly-away hairs more easily. While not static free, I will concede that static is at a minimum when using it. It feels solid in the hand and seems to be well crafted. The packaging for all of their products has been quite good. I find the sandlewood an oddly pleasant scent. It's strong, but not overwhelming, and does not transfer to my beard. It took me a few uses to determine how I felt about the scent. Overall I am very happy with the beard comb and have no hesitation recommending it along with their balm and brush.

Perfect handmade imperfection.
So I got this item today. I don't know why, but I was crazy excited to receive it. My beard isn't even that long yet, still in its adolescent stages. But it's enough that it needs regular combing. Out of the box. The smell of sandalwood is overpowering. This is a good thing. After one day of regular use the scent is already working its way into my beard. I can smell it on my moustache. Fantastic. You can tell this thing is real wood and is hand made. It makes it precious and beautiful, but expect the flaws that come with it. Many of my comb's teeth are bent and the edge isn't even. The Hatchet shape is also barely noticeable on mine. I suppose these flaws lend to the handmade-feeling of the item, because I don'treally mind them. I feel that those flaws give the comb character. I think some people would be bothered by this, but I was not. Overall, this is a beautiful comb. It smells amazing. It keeps my beard neat and smelling rich and woodsy. I would definitely buy this comb again and I plan on buying more from Rocky Mountain Barber Company. Highly recommended.

Up until very recently I have not been able to grow facial hair at work due to the nature of my work (oil and gas). I got moved to a remote location which doesn't have the same restrictions as there is no H2S, Ammonia, DEOA or other respiratory hazards so we're allowed to grow facial hair. Since this is my first time being able to grow facial hair, I actually have no idea how to cultivate and treat it. From what I've learned online is that a wood comb is necessary, as it has natural properties from the wood that keep it looking and smelling nice. Plastic combs are a breeding ground for bacteria and germs. The comb itself is mostly scent neutral but with the use of beard balms you can make your beard smell nice, which will stick with you all day. Find a scent you can tolerate while you eat. I made the mistake of finding a mustache wax that was too powerfully vanilla and made eating difficult. I now have two combs, one from MayBeau and this one. This is now my "I don't want to eat my mustache at work" comb. This works absolutely. Mustache combs are a dime a dozen but this one has everything you need. It's high quality, smells good, easy to clean, has a carrying case and makes you look great.

Does what it’s supposed to. There’s a good feeling of a premium product to it. Nice little heft - not a cheap plastic comb. The curves on both sides conform to my face/jaw/neck better than a regular straight comb. I think it’ll last a very long time. Also the included carrying case is a nice inclusion. Would recommend.

My husband decided this year to grow his beard so I scoured Amazon for different beard products, and the Rocky Mountain Barber Company was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of ratings, so I decided to buy this comb (and their beard oil, beard balm and horsehair beard brush) from them. Also, the company being Canadian is such a great incentive as well! The branding and packaging are awesome. Comes with a case to hold your comb. Everything is great quality. The comb is made of sandalwood which is a great antibacterial/antimicrobial wood! And the smell...smells like campfire! My husband says that it leaves his beard feeling soft and smooth. You will definitely get your Lumberjack on with this comb!

I like this comb a lot. Well made and smells great, and the I like the way the sandalwood ages - a nice natural touch in this age of synthetics. The small teeth on the sides look like a cool extra feature but they actually seem kind of useless. The first one I got was cut crookedly so I emailed Rocky Mountain Barber Co like the card in the box said and they replaced it immediately. I keep the crooked one as a back up in my bag. When they say to let them know if you're dissatisfied and they'll fix in within a day, they really mean it! The box is nice if it's a gift and I really like the leather sleeve. The engraved logo adds to the quality feel. The extra cost for the hatchet style comb over the flat style comb may be partly for style points so if you like a uniquely designed and well made product (as long as the "off" one I got first was just a random dud) then this is a great choice.

This beard comb is well made. I like that there are two thicknesses of comb, one narrow and one a little wider. It comes in a handy carrying case. This comb helps keep my beard looking good, and keeps the stray hairs at bay.
