Works as expected out of the box. Highly configurable. I always customize tools according to need. This too provides a rugged base upon which you can add custom fixtures and jigs. For example, a custom center roller die. As with any tool, operating it at it's upper limit/range will cause it to wear more quickly. If you have a production line job that pushes the limits of the tool, get a bigger tool. For my purposes, this is the perfect size and I expect it to last many years.

The UB-100, in my opinion, is the best manual metal bender available for the metals as per the manufacturer specifications. As a side note, there is a newer model, the UB100-A which I have not used. Also, in my experience, the customer service is outstanding and pleasant, and I appreciate that. The UB-100 is a powerful tool and it produces an enormous amount of torque, so it needs to be securely mounted to a strong non-movable base. Because I am in the old-school frame of mind when it comes to tools, I like this bender’s quick and simple adjustments which allow me to make consistent bends within +/- 0.1 degree. Additionally, multiple dies are included, and they add a great deal of versatility. If you are looking for near perfection this tool will get you there, but you must get a 4 inch by 4 inch metal plate to place between the metal to be bent and the hinged adjustable bending plate, I use a ¼ inch thickness. The smoother and more polished the plate face is the better, and I use a little lubricant between the part and plate face to get bend-mark free results. Metal is quickly and firmly mounted for bending in this tool making it the “go-to tool” for fast and accurate bending in my shop. I highly recommend this tool.

I use this for making u-shaped handles out of 1/2 round. like everyone, i have a shop made hossfeld type bender and it's good for really thick material but not nearly as accurate as this one. this bender can make very tight radius bends to less than 1/16 inch of where you need it without much setup at all, and if you take your time with marking and measuring a test bend and transfer those marks to your work, bends are right on the money each time.

I have not used it a lot, but it bends steel and aluminum with ease. Easy to make exact bends.

I use it for bending 1/4" aluminum bar to be used as brackets for playgrounds. Just add a little heat and presto. Able to get it exact. Makes fabrication not only easy and precise, but also affordable. Very impressed by the heavy duty quality of the tool as I professionalize production. I will certainly look into purchasing more Kaka tools as demand merits.

Great machine well built. Came with absolutely no instructions still trying to figure out what it can do or even how to put it all together. :(

It’s a lot chunkier in person. Should hold up fine for the home shop. Looks pretty nice and is a lot better quality than what I was expecting. This version has a nice finished look to it and the does looked pretty good too. Customer service is good. They accidentally sent the first bender to the wrong adress but quickly sent me another.Not exactly a tight tolerance tool but it’s workable
