Annoying to put together but 100% worth it!
I was torn on whether to give this 4 or 5 stars...if I were only reviewing how much fun kids have with it I would say 5 starts all the way. However, I'm also including me assembling it and that's what makes it 4 stars. The good: kids absolutely love it. This is the second time we given on of these to a two year old. The one we gave our neice lasted 1 month shy of 3 years! It's always an instant hit and keep em entertained! The not great: in a word? Assembly. The instructions were very vague and left out steps just kind of assuming you'd figure out to do the step...there is a video that's easy enough to find but there is no sound and it also is missing steps. Also one of the prefers areas on this particular pirate ship was done incorrectly so making all of the pieces fit in the right place was especially hard.

Fun for the kids but not for the parents
Overall my daughter loves playing and coloring on it. With that said here is my take as a father. The markers that came with it were lackluster. They didn't work very well and the caps were hard to put back on. Assembly was a huge pain. I am an ASE Master Certified Automotive Technician and am in general a very handy person, but putting together this cardboard boat tested me. In total it took me about 45 minutes to set up and get it so it would stay together. In total there are a few pieces to this; I assembled a Doc McStuffins check out toy that was at least 30 pieces in 15 minutes. The instructions lack anything useful, but they include a link to a youtube video on how to put it together, but the problem is the video is just a picture slide show with some text that is hard to read. If the video walked you through step by step live with narration it would be a lot better.

It sat nicely on the wheels and was open enough to lift ...
With a little bit of adaptation (tape and folding the back), this will turn your stroller into a pirate ship. It sat nicely on the wheels and was open enough to lift our daughter in and out. She was a pirate princess for Halloween and was a hit last year at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween. We bought acrylic paint to color it instead of markers, and that took us about 3 evenings to complete. The cardboard folded nicely for transporting into the park and held up well for the evening, which was amazing since it lightly rained off and on all evening. It was starting to sag a little by the end of the night. We only used it the one time and could probably used it one or two more, especially if it hadn't gotten a little soggy.

So cool, nephew loved it!
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my nephew and he absolutely loved it!! It took me about 3 days to finish painting, but it was definitely worth it! I couldn’t get him out of his new boat and he shuffled it all long the house all day haha!! So cute!

Waste of money for price and cheap product!
I bought this for a pirate day with my Grandloves and I’m honestly very disappointed for the money charged! Grant you the kids are having a blast but this product will not last two weeks due to the flimsy way it’s assembled and the cardboard is thin! Even the video it suggests is ridiculous in showing how to put together! I will not buy this again or refer to others! Thank goodness for duct tape!

Kids love it, hard to put together
My kids loved it, the directions were pretty bad.

Fun activity, takes some work putting together
Fun ship for the kids to color once put together. My box came without the steering wheel, so that was a disappointment. I couldn't return it because it would have never shipped back in time for party. But, my husband managed to make a wheel from the box it came in!Also, directions are tough to understand. I recommend watching the YouTube video for better instructions.

but I was still disappointed. In years past
I'm a preschool teacher, and I purchase one of these cardboard structures every year for the class around the holidays. My 14 children obviously do more damage than would occur if this were bought for a few kids at home, but I was still disappointed. In years past, we've had several cardboard houses, cottages, and a train. All of those were great and held up to weeks of abuse. I expected the same from this ship, but it loses its shape and becomes just a mess after a day or two. Maybe that's because it has no bottom or top, and nothing to help hold its shape. It's not sturdy at all. Would not buy again.
