Johann Gutenburg and the Printing Press (Inventions and Discovery series)

I’m sure the book has good information about Gutenberg but sadly the book is really warped from water damage. It came in a delivery with several other items that were not damaged Sinai have to assume it came from the seller this way.☹️

This is a great little book about Johann Gutenberg and how he invented the printing press. It's a sad story of a great man who invented something that changed the course of history in space-time, that helped ideas travel from one continent to another in a very short period of time.

One of the most important inventions, one that paved the way for the Reformation and the following Age of Exploration.Easy to read graphic format moves well across the pages. Very fine work.If your child chooses this for a biography book report, be sure it's ok with the teacher. "Comic book" format often isn't.

Well written with good illustrations, and effectively tells the story of a great invention. My 9 year old was fascinated.

I would highly recommend this book and others of this type for your children. It is great for keeping your child's mind busy and educated!

About a man who hears that there is a problem with scribes hand copying the Bible, mistakes are occasionally made. He wonders if there is a way to create a machine to print the bible. He borrows investment capital in an effort to create a machine. Eventually the investors want to know what is going on and he gets sued, losing everything. Story that I did not know. MOVIE!!!!!!!!

Succinct overview of the world changing invention. Excellent for children to understand this change as we live through a similar change with digital technology today.
