Captain Titan Protouch MG Razor Blades with Steel Guard for Kai Captain and Feather Artist Club Straight Razors

So, I’m a longtime user of Kai double-edge razor blades for my face, and other than the Gillette Nacet, I can’t find a better blade for the money in terms of comfort, efficiency and longevity (there are more than 100 brands, old and new, in my collection, so that’s no small accomplishment). So imagine my delight to try the Kai Captain Protouch in on of my SE razors and experience a similar feeling of delight that a blade can deliver so much in all areas. While some other brands are classified as “beginner” and “expert,” I’m wholly confident in suggesting Kai blades to shavers of any age, experience or beard growth. They’re that good, and I don’t know why they’re that much better than their country mates (Feather) - Feathers are sharp and remind you of that fact (and work great in some razors for me, horribly in others), but Kai blades just seem to work in virtually every razor I own. Purchase these, or the DE versions (they are pricey by DE cost but cheap when compared to today’s 5-blade systems), and prepare for world-class shaves (with practice, of course, if you’re transitioning to wet shaving).

I’m a barber. I use these on my older looser skin clients. They have thinner skin so I don’t like using my sharp razors.

These blades are slightly milder than the Feather ProGuards. The blade's hone angle seems to be a bit wider than the ProGuards, consequently they hold an edge a bit longer but are not quite as "sharp". I agree with the other reviewers, these are excellent blades, and I would recommend these for beginners to use first. They take about 2 weeks to arrive from Japan.

The edge of the blade has been cutting people, also it’s rough and doesn’t glide like the older ones
