The huge unit arrived quickly from Amazon. We immediately removed from box and plugged in. The unit was defective and did not turn on. We call the Blue Air rep who was extremely helpful walking us thru a checklist. His conclusion was the unit simply did not work. We are turning and not replacing with this discontinued model.

After unboxing and plugging it in will NOT POWER ON! Made in China go figure. Sweden doesn’t make them anymore Total garbage don’t buy!

Excellent design and build quality. Very quiet in it's lowest setting, tolerable in the medium setting. Extremely efficient. The only (potential) problem: very sensitive air quality sensor when the machine operates in automatic speed mode. If you put this thing in a living room that is open to kitchen area it will switch to a very loud highest speed when you make a coffee.

Poor quality enclosure. You have a chance to get one with booming side panels. My 3-year-old 503 developed annoying booming sound. The cause was panel resonance, not worn out motor. My Pro L, directly from Blueair USA, had booming sound due to panel resonance on one side since new. After a year, both side panels make booming sounds. I attached sorbothane pads to the panels with magnets to reduce panel resonances. An air cleaner at this price should have better enclosure damping and good quality control in the factory.
